Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Welcome welcome! I have to say it twice cuz I'm so excited to meet a fellow ELS member - not too many of us around here! AND - sounds like we have something in common - Pastor Smith? He is currently our pastor.because of my lack of a job, my hours are completely messed up. I have energy enough, it seems, when it comes to Christ. But for everything else, it seems has fallen.
Until about a week ago, I lacked even the desire to want to get out of bed. Life just did not feel worth living. Too much worry and turmoil over finances, marriage problems and my own pet demons.
Finally, I have been able to put it completely in God's hands. I have been relatively stress free this week, tho my body is still pretty messed up from awkward schedules. And tonight my car did break down... but so what? I am God's and I can take anything satan throws at me and smile, thanking God because I know nothing will ever separate me from His love!

J Kincaid. He came out of retirement - again - to be our part time pastor. We have a unique situation as being a mission church with a 100 year history! Long story... anyway, Pastor Smith and Carolyn have been making the 3 hour trip back and forth between Mankato and our town for the past 2 years - living Thurs thru Sun in our town and the rest of the week at their home in Mankato. He has been a great blessing to our tiny congregation.
Oh I agree 100%! I haven't learned so much since confirmation with Pastor Tweit.So it shows, a pastor is never truly "retired."
Pastor Smith is an awesome teacher. You are certainly blessed to have him.
