Filthy Rags ….

Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Exactly WHAT is “filthy rags” and why so?

Psalm 14:2. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. 3. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

Why are ALL MEN “filthy”? That is a horrific assessment of the children by the Father Himself! We DO NOT want to think of ourselves in such a negative light. But God cannot lie! So what is He really telling us? Are you ready to HEAR GOD from His perspective? Then let go of your personal human bias and HEAR God’s viewpoint.

Filthy clothing

Zechariah 3:1. And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 2. And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3. Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4. And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have causedthine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Discovering God’s real meaning behind the allegory, “filthy garments”.

The human body is called a “garment”, a house of clay in which God’s son or daughter spirit “dwells”. Paul used this allegory here:

2 Corinthians 5:1. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: 3. If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

So the human body is man’s clay garment as seen in Paul’s use of the allegory.

What is it that makes all men FILTHY? You may or may not be shocked by the answer. Jesus has the KEY.

Matthew 12:43. When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Revelation 18:2. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, (this is Lucifer’s wife who was kicked out of Heaven with him and their children <”stars”>) and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

To avoid falling in circles (bottomless pit) devils grab the bodies of men and animals as they fall past them and get a STRONG HOLD to keep from falling. They cannot dwell on the earth’s surface as humans do, and they cannot “fill the face of the earth with cities”, Isaiah 14:12, 21. Unfortunately HUMAN BODIES become THEIR HOUSES! From the text in Matthew, these unclean spirit holding onto men are the FILTH that covers human bodies like a “badgers’ skin veil”. Now you can see why Father said of “US”, “There is none good and they have ALL become filthy”. We all wear a crown of thorns (devils, 2 Samuel 23:6-7) who pierce our thoughts with deceptive words to misdirect us and corrupt out thinking. Because of this perversion of human thought, God told us this:

Isaiah 55:7. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. 8. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Habakkuk 1:4. Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

This is why ALL MEN wear filthy garments AND OUR THINKING IS PERVERTED! A man will do well to QUESTION ALL THOUGHTS coming to his head. Never act in haste! Devils are very instrumental in making man’s thought VERY UNLIKE God’s thoughts. Anger and hasty judgment are a tools of the devil to break the brotherhood between men and to estrange men from God. The “elder son” in the parable of the prodigal son shows the folly of “accusing others” of sin, while counting one’s self “righteous”. The elder son in “the field” of this world (Matthew 13:38) was clothed in his own “filthy garments”. His self “righteousness was filthy rags”, while the younger brother received the best robe in Heaven at the hand of his Father! Ironic is it not? His thoughts were not like God’s thoughts and his resistance to the will of the Father and his rejection of reconciliation came from his “crown of thorns”. Beware of anger!

James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4. (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds 5. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6. And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7. Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's.

Psalm 118:8. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. 9. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes.

Psalm 146:3. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish. 5. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:

Because men on earth are altogether “filthy”, we cannot serve God rightly while in filthy garments. A change of raiment is due to each human being. That will happen when God calls each child by his TRUE NAME when we are “drawn up” to participate in the feast of love and FAMILY REUNION (reconciliation). In this world men have a difficult time living as God would have them do it in unity. The removal of the clay house (human body) and the devils on it is on the agenda. It is the “circumcision”, which is a REQUIREMENT for entering the Promise Land of Heaven!

Ecclesiastes 1:13. And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith.

Romans 8:18. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. 20. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,

Hebrews 2:14. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 15. And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

2 Timothy 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Revelation 13:4. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? 5. And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. 6. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. 7. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Isaiah 64:6. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

I believe that the verse means that we are sinners and that our good works are as filthy rags. That God does not want to justify us by our good works as they are like filthy rags. It's not the good works He looks at but God's grace and righteousness upon us - these having been given to us and having covered us when we decided to become Christ-followers, disciples of Jesus. Our good works are filthy rags to God because we are such sinners and the latter are not perfect enough to bring us to salvation.

Our good works are the fruit of our faith. If we have true faith we will automatically produce good works. In fact, that will come naturally. A true Christian is recognized by his love and good works, by the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

I'll stop rambling now, lol, I just wanted to share!

God bless each and every one of you!

But when we are saved we do good works according to God's plan, and these He does NOT call filthy rags.
But of course it is not the good works that save us.
This passage explains it well:

God is a just Judge who cannot lie. You cannot tell Him "how" He should see His children. He said " ... they have altogether become filthy! There is none that doeth good, no not one"! Jesus told a man, "Why do you call me good? There is none good but one, that is God"! Perhaps we cannot modify the opinion of the Just Judge! He cannot lie!

or "waffle" according to the man's thinking? Here is what is written:

Isaiah 53:1. Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? 2. For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3. He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

John 1:29. The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Isaiah 43:25. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. 26. Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. 27. Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

Isaiah 44:21. Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me. 22. I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

Psalm 103:12. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Isaiah 57:16. For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before me, and the souls which I have made. 17. For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart. 18. I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. 19. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the Lord; and I will heal him.

2 Corinthians 5:18. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19. To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Isaiah 66:22. For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your seed and your name remain. 23. And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the Lord.

You determine if it is worthwhile for YOU to TRUST in God and believe your Father more than the frightened preachers who "know in part" and guess at what Father will do to men!

Psalm 31:19. Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! 20. Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. 21. Blessed be the Lord: for he hath shewed me his marvellous kindness in a strong city.

If my Father is YOUR Shepherd, then believe Him! If humans are your shepherd, then believe the preachers! The choice is yours! Your peace of mind will be determined by how and whom you chose!

PS...
GOOD NEWS is the true "gospel" and Incorporated refers to the Heavenly Hosts, Hebrews 12:1 and Revelation 7:9-17. I did not "choose" this name! This is what Father told me to do!

Not sure I see such.

Afterall human nature doesn't depart upon "saving". There is still a battle between God's will and the will of the human.
