  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When David and I were travelling in August I found a Tim Horton's, in fact our hotel was right next to one. I said after all I've heard from you gals, I wanna try it. I ordered a coffee and got some sort of danish. The young lady waiting on me said May I buy this for you? I was perplexed and asked her why. She said that her church was doing some local mission things and that her pledge was to purchase small things for people daily. Well I about I thanked her and asked her if I could pray with her...we had mini church in Ohio. I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee, danish and fellowship with this young lady.

How cool!! What a blessing for you, What a testimony. I hope the Lord blesses her richly for it. I'm glad you enjoyed your Timmy's.
Tim Horton played hockey for the Buffalo Sabres 1972-1974 and was inducted, posthumously, into the Hockey Hall of Fame 1977. He died suddenly in a car crash in 1974. his daughter married the co-owner and is in the business. I think he'd be proud of his coffee business.

Start a franchise You'd make money, that's for sure. They've been sprouting up all over the place.
