  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi!

I'm at home - I am going to make myself some tea or some hot Ribena.....

It has become quite windy here with some rain.

Church was good, I always love hanging out afterward to chat. Sermon was good - about Peter and Jesus and how Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him and Peter yes, but meant a different kind of love i.e. Philo (spelling?) instead of agope.

Nothing much. Sitting here, posting here and there, mostly trying not to fall asleep again.

I woke up to the sound of a a text message I received by mistake earlier. Blasted phone kept beeping till I read the message. Somebody trying to pitch a hook-up website. How on earth did they get my number?

That sounds about as bad as when the election primaries were coming to my state - my phone rang off the hook with candidates giving a sales pitch.
