The first Matrix film was utter perfection. The other two were so awful just thinking about them makes me want to weep. Now I just pretend that the whole story ended when Neo flew away after the first movie and the other two don't exist.

Definitly the first one. It made the top 50 greatest movies of all time.

But the 2nd and 3rd movies weren't bad, they just had the misfortune of following one of the best movies ever.

The first of course. The other two were not necessary for the story. However, I would've appreciated the sequels if the screenplay and plot were better. Reloaded was not bad, I liked it for the most part, but Revolutions was ridiculus I'm sorry to say. Revolutions had that comic DBZ final fight, some bad over acting and overly dramatic sequences; that's my take on it at least.

The first was by far the best. I was willing to forgive the second for its shortcomings, as it seemed to be setting up an incredible 3rd movie. Needless to say, I was very disapointed.

The first one wins hands down. The second one had a couple of really cool fight scenes. (Neo beating the stuffing out of a bajillion Agent Smith clones was cool, you have to admit.)

The third was was trgically lame.

I don't feel that I have much to contribute to this because I agree with everyone else in that the first one is the best, and the other two suck, but I think I will post anyways.

I'm sure they have the REAL sequals in a vault somewhere and after everyone gets over this joke they made, they are gonna bring them out. "Haha! Fooled you!"

I'm sure George Lucas is doing the same thing with the new starwars trilogy.
