This is not a subject I can answer because I just love hymns. There are few to none that I do not like. However, I'll list some:

How Great Thou Art
Crown Him With Many Crowns
Ah, Holy Jesus
Beautiful Savior
Earth and all Stars
For the Beauty of the Earth
How Firm a Foundation
What Wondrous Love Is This
Savior of the Nations Come
Lift High the Cross
Onward Christian Soldiers

I'll stop listing hymns now. . .

Christ Jesus Lay in Death's Strong Bands
All Creatures of Our God and King
Abide With Me
Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence
Creator of the Stars of Night
Veni Creator Spiritus
O Gladsome Light
Christians, to the Paschal Victim
Come You Faithful, Raise the Strain

I could go on...hey, I'm an organist

It is still my opinion that Lutherans have better music than Episcopals (I went to an Episcopal church this past Sunday to say goodbye to the youth minister). The tune that they had for "God of Grace and God of Glory" dragged on and on. . .

They finally got desperate and asked me to fill in at church sunday for the two lady organists that are going to the LWML convention. I asked one of the oraganists to bring in her synthesizer. That will sound better than the old, whezzy, flat electronic Baldwin organ. It was donated by a high contributor family some 30 years ago and it would be a travesty, at least according to them, to get something new.

A lot?--- I don't think so! If it was mine I'd give it to ya. It's one of the worse electronic organs made. Believe me. I use to sell organs when those were brand new and they were pieces of juke even back then.

I got the synth set up next to the Baldwin and have to de-tune the syth to match the old wheezer. I'm not looking forward to playing this morning. The synth is too "synth" because it's cheap.

I tried to donate an older Hammond organ a few years ago and they said it would be allright but then I found out that it would be stored in the basement and not use in the sanctuary and decided against it.

It's about 3:30AM in the wee hours of the morning and I can't sleep, thanks to the meds they gave me for my heart problem. The dog was barking because the racoons come up on the porch looking for food in the cats dish. The dog hears the cat yowl and then all h-ll breaks loose. What a night. This happens like everynight. I ask the wife not to leave the cat food out and she forgets............sigh.

I guess if I just quit whining everthing will be allright

My fix for this problem. "Put the dog on the back porch, put the cat in the dog house and if the coon is stupid enough to show up again, well, you get the picture.

Our 2 dogs both died, but when we had them we had similar problems. Cats and all sorts of critters would be roaming around all night, and our one dog a husky would never stop barking. The lab would bark at coons but I don't she cared much about cats unless they were within reach. She would play dead until a critter would wander within her reach , and then it was all over. Now with the dogs gone I can sleep undisturbed, but I sure miss them.

Jim are you dyslexic or was your mis-spell above on purpose?
