IMO, It’s time to let the cat out of the bag on “Fact Check”, formerly requiring a gymnastic search towards confirmation, is now an A.I. hijack victim, also capable of manufacturing feeds.

Am I in the ballpark?

I think I can. To my understanding, there are many fact checkers as well as a number of fact checker - checkers. Normally, associated with longstanding news orgs as well as stand alone FC companies.

To the extent that I understand you, no.

We can, with diligence and reliance on expert sources, come to know the truth about facts in many cases. Certainly not all cases. But in many cases, there is a truth to the matter, and we can determine what it is, and justify our belief that it is a fact.
