facination with demons

This has happened only recently, within the past few years. I have a facination with spiritual warfare and spiritual beings, mostly demons. I want to know specifically what they can and cannot do. I want to know the extent of their influence on my life.

But I feel something else, too. Its an indescrible feeling. This feeling does not seem like something that would be God's will. So I am cautious. Im not about to read demonic books (because I am pretty sure they would be full of lies anyways) but I am intrigued. And I admit I have a feeling that I would want to see a demon.

I know that cannot be from God.

Every time I start thinking about them, Ill go read other people's encounters with them on CF. As I do this, I will slowly get this strange feeling, its like a cold and tingly feeling on my back and arms, and it slowly spreads through my body. Ive had these feelings in other circumstances too, so its not unique. Part of me says its only a feeling created by my mind, but a smaller voice says it is real.

Ive always been facinated with the posiblity that some or all of this could be somatiform, meaning a sensation created by the mind because I believed it would happen. Stuff like that has happened to me before, and me being me (I have an interest in psychology) I wanted to find out what was going on.

I have never been able to pinpoint anything else, only the chills and tingling sensation....

Until just now.

I was reading about stuff on CF, and getting that usual sensation. But I stopped and thought about what was happening to me. And suddenly I felt this intence hatred. A hatred directed at someone or something I couldnt see or feel. And I felt adrenaline pumping through my body. Despite all this, I still cant say I felt an actualy "presence". Anyways, this all subsided when I told it to get away in the name of my risen Lord, Christ Jesus.

But I feel like its still there in the backround. Again, the posibility of this all being created because my mind believed it would happen is facinating. But if this is real, it is very scary.

So, I have a lot of questions, but yea... Being a biology major, Im a man of science and I feel silly attrubiting a demon to what could easily be a sensation created by the mind. But on the other hand, a small nagging voice says its real danger, despite the fact that I cant sence it. This voice says that I could easily go into more dangerous situations. This is the voice that deep down inside, I trust no matter silly it feels. I know which voice I should listen to, but I would like some thoughts anyways.

Hi, You are wise to be concerned about these things.
Those that get involved in it are walking on the wrong path. I would never even read such posts that involve them. Our minds are too sensitive and the demon world is real. It says in the bible:

Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

And though this verse below isn't specifically about demons, it is by demons that these things are done:

Deuteronomy 18:
10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in [a] the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you.

We are in a spiritual battle. I would if I were you keep away from those who give demons names etc. They are not doing right.

You might want to read a book called the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. It's written about demons and how they try to get humans to do what they want. C.S. Lewis said the book could've gone on but he suffered for writing the book. It's a hard book to read cause you have to think from satans side. You see we should not be dwelling on evil. How strange you should bring this up. My vicar told me that I am very sensitive to things that are not of God but the opposite. I sometimes feel like there is an evil presence with me and I start to feel it in my body. I always talk to God while I am going through this, its not very nice for me because I will have nothing to do with evil. I acknowledge this as satan. When God speaks to me it is on the right side of me and when satan speaks it is on the left of my head. its really odd but I do recognise whats going on. I even thought once that we had to love everyone ...including the devil. I still struggle with that today. When someone steps in a room or close by me I can pick up an evil presence immediately and I start to feel sick or shake like I am when I am hungry.
This may not be the same as what you are experiencing but I am glad you fetched this up. I have felt it all day today and really dont know what it is this time.

It is quite possible your sensitivities to the spiritual realm are Divinely inspired and confirm that you will be both called to Deliverance Ministry! If demons went unnoticed, then how could they be dealt with? So obviously effective ministry means you would need a keen discernment as to the presence of demonic forces. This would give crucial understanding in knowing how best to wage victorious spiritual warfare against them.

Of course especially with a call to deliverance ministry, in an attempt to sway you into his camp, the enemy would try to get you more fascinated by and focused on him and his minions, rather than on Christ and His delivering Power! Instead of being for Jesus and snuffing out evil works, the devil schemes to get you for him, that would make for less resistance in carrying out his dastardly deeds. So much prayer, worshipping the Lord, and exercising His wisdom from above be certainly essential to keep in spiritual balance!

ILikePeanutbutter, the intensity of hatred you felt could represent the devil and his hatred toward God and His People, as could it represent God's hatred towards the devil, towards all he does against God's People and creation.

jacquidube, your experiences of an evil presence, even today, are calls to intercede and help thwart demonic schemes seemingly in the making.

Humblebee, I am very cautious about this whole subject as things can easily turn the wrong direction and I can get into stuff over my head very quickly. I have mixed feelings over your post. On one hand, what you proposed sounds exciting. On the other hand, it almost dosnt sound right for me. I am praying hard that God can show me the path I should take. This isnt about what I would like to do, its about what He wants, and the more I remember that the safer I am.

What exactly is deliverance ministry?

Well as an angel once said ' the world of demons can give you nothing more then misery.

That being said, i know its all exiting, warfare, demons, battles between angels and demons, possession, exorsism, and many great movies have been made.

It gets different when its for real tho, if your mom dies by a bullet , your family gets raped, and your father gets executed, and you going to some concentration camp, those are the real factors of war, rather then a computer game where you have infinite lives, if you die with this body that God has given you , you lose something precious, namely life.

And with the demon world its no different, Demons are invisible for people like you who aren't on a high sensetive spiritual level, they are constantly hunting for people, and if you felt hatred, then what is happening is the following.

A demon can go thru your wall, you can't see him, the demon might see you , if you are visible to the demon then usually your aura protects you from the demon entering your body, two of a kind is one ,the demon
therefore has to alter your mind on his level of murder lust and most important hatred, he will use his will power to influence you, this is why you felt so much hatred all of a sudden , because you are being open and exposing yourself to hell.

A demon doesn't care about you, how much pain you feel, he simply wants your body for a ride(alcohol,drugs,sigarettes) , it might sound stupid,akward or weird, but you need a physical body to do drugs. Demons don't have a physical but spiritual body, in order to get a ride, they must unite with your body, this is only possible if you are a hating individual who wouldn't mind killing someone, if you pass out due to overusage of drugs or alcohol, your aura will break, and the demon will unite his aura with yours, making him feel what you feel.

After a good party the demon will then leave your body,only a stupid or beginner demon will stay inside your body, your body will only act like a prison for a demon that 100% unites , so smart demons will only partially connect, so that afterwards they can detach themselves, and roam around in the astral world again.

And what is left of you? Well just like someone who gets raped, the rapist will leave and discard you like the paper wrap around a candybar. You have been used and abused, and will mentally end up like a trainwreck if you search for the demonical world.

If you don't know what your doing and dealing with that is.

How do you know this to be true? A lot of this sounds far-fetched to me. Is the concept of an aura biblical at all? Where do you have evidence that demons like to do drugs? And whats with this "beginner" demon? How can a beginner demon exist if demons themselves have existed since long before humans have?

Does any of that stuff have biblical support to it? Or at least credible proof?

Instead of good points, I'd give you this - 'those who knock should be answered, and those who seek will find'. You're looking for the worst, just try to imagine the worst thing. The most scary, hopeless and finite. Pure terror+bonuses I wouldn't even want to imagine. Please, don't run down fire and sword on me but I need to tell you this - 'one cannot serve two masters' - and I'm not telling God and devil, I'm telling God or knowledge, or faith or knowledge. You see, if you want to 'be reasonable', 'understand','see the source' then if you're incredibly smart you'll get to a point where there's nothing left to understand. Let's face it, biology or any other science is like a 4 year old, let's say, italian baby listening to a chinese broadcast at a point. 'Say..what?..' There are matters bigger than mind, if not expierienced it yourself trust me or anybody else that will tell you the same. Trust so you get a chance to consider. So I'd suggest a good ol' way - read the bible and trust Jesus that says it all. Pray(that's a high profile). If you run across Jesus saying to give up all the stuff you care about and deny your own desires, pray before you get some unwanted feedback from your very desires and/or the ones you're trying to understand. I saw a light, you'll see the light too. Prayer in trust is an eye-blind grinder at the beginning. And about the most real thing I've ever felt. I can't even tell you how glad am I to give the most-valuables to me from before. This is beyond words. Pray for the grace.

I really don't understand why, but I feel that there are a lot of us christians being attacked by demonic forces lately. I don't think that we are possessed because if we have Jesus in our hearts we can't be possessed, but they do hinder us. They walk with us everyday. They fill our hearts with anger, and confusion. Our lives with nothing but misery. One bad thing after the next seems to happen until finally it breaks our spirit. It makes us start wondering why God could let this happen. That demonic voice gets into our heads and tells us that God doesn't really love us, that we're not good enough. The sad thing is, after years of hearing this, we actually start to believe it.

Demons are not nice. They are mean creatures who are trying to win our souls over to Satan. They know that the end is almost here, and they're coming out in leaps and bounds. We have to be strong, and we have to stand together. We all need to pray for each other, and we need to cast these demons out of each other before they destroy us.

I will pray for each of you. Please also pray for me. They seem stronger than usual, and I'm getting to the point that I don't know what to do about them. Let's help each other and pray.

The only thing demons and satan have is deception. If anyone runs in too a feeling or a vision, God will want you to test that feeling or vision, if it is not pure and right it is a demon. Remember We serve one God one God only. IF any thing or anyone tells you different it is usually the other side "satan and his followers". This is satans last attempt to get others to suffer. And yes him and his crew are going for the strong in faith right now, and it is hard for them. That is why are life stlyes are changing every day, for example violents, lust on tv grow very strong day by day. I am a huge fan of boxing, ufc, and pridefighting. Until here lately I found out that i was a fan of the wrong thing "violents". I loved it, I had eveny for those who practice violents. I am tring to get past it now. Every body has ran in to lust, It seems that couples dont even want to marry anymore, they just live together. We have to take a stand and pray.
