  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

could anyone say a little prayer for me today? I'll be looking at a house (for sale by owner), this afternoon...

the only thing that might be in the way is the contingency contract, because I haven't sold my condo YET. and I hope the owner isn't too anxious to sell right away.

this little beauty got all the amenities I need, and it's in a quiet neighborhood, within the city limits, but taxes are county-based.

another thing that concerns me is my mother~ although she'd like me to live a lot closer, I don't see how I can find a good home where she is. it's really hard to find a manufactured home on its own lot...it really is~ especially where she is. the only tiny consolation I can give her is that I'm in the SAME city as her. and what's important to keep in mind is that I have to be happy, and live with what I got regardless of where I live.

I forgot to mention that I'm not the only one looking at it...the competition's gonna be pretty fierce! but the price for that little beauty is perfect... even for a 1300 sq ft house (NOT including the double garage!), with a cute little yard and whatnot

So, I'm just going to go with the flow and go with what the spirit says inside me. When I bought my condo 10 years ago, it was the 2nd house I looked at. But the moment I walked in, I had this sense of peace about it, and knew this was the place for me. Now that I'm a seller AND buyer, the stress is so much that I'm afraid that I'd miss the "sign" when I look around. In fact, I've looked at 3 houses in the last 4 months, and not one gave me that sense of contentment or peace. Only one did impress me so much, but there were a few things that wouldn't work.

Just gotta time it right...so I don't have to sell my condo, rent a place and THEN look for a house. That'd mean I'd have to move twice...and lose more money from it. OY!

I'll be SOOO relieved when this is all done and settled.
*whew*
