we did avatars... now I want to know about your signatures! why did you make it that way? what does it all mean?

and if you want to only post "I don't have one"... just know you get a from me ahead of time. Just explain why you don't have one.

the first part is something i made up for myself. it's now in my blog entry here at CF. it's just a saying i have for my faith right now. to know more the reason why i said it like that, read my blog if you want to know.

the second part is a quote from Paul Tillich, a Christian existentialist/philosopher/theologian. another fav. of mine with modern theologians.

Mine is a quote from one of my favourite songs. Once upon a time, I was head-over-heels with a friend who didn't feel the same, and I heard this song and it spoke to me. It was like, my thought process backed up by a guitar.
Now we're together, but the song is still beautiful and relevant to me. You should google the lyrics, and listen to it - Bethany Dillon has so much emotion when she sings it, especially in the acoustic version. Hearing this song always takes my breath away....

I saw this thread and was inspired to get my own signature.
For one thing, I love Winnie the Pooh, and Eeyore and Tigger and Piglet and Kanga and Roo and Owl,... okay so you get the point, and its also something that I need to remind myself of constantly.

The first banner is a compilation of 20th century Christians I admire as having grasped something of and lived according to the core content of the command of God. They inspire me, and have helped me to strengthen my own grasp of the gospel. They are (from left to right): Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Desmond Tutu, Karl Barth, and C.S. Lewis.

The second banner is mainly on account of my frequenting the Origins Theology and Creation and Evolution forums. Essentially, it's intended to discourage a particularly frustrating misunderstanding of evolution by showing that the very thing that would validate evolution in the mind of Kent Hovind (and notable others) would refute it in the minds of evolutionary scientists.

In my most recent Good Friday message, I talked about the example of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's martyrdom, and read a poem which he wrote (Who Am I?) which concludes with the lines quoted below. I had them in plain text, and then Willtor kindly offered to make me the spiffy banner I have now.
