I believe evolution is an absolute lie of the devil.

However, people believe this because they are under the power of the devil. They WANT evolution to be true so that they can satisfy in their own hearts that their is now God and so that they don't have to obey Him. This is what alot of science is based on - an agenda to discredit Christianity so that people can be comfortable with their sins.

However, as a servant of God, I will do my best to love. Hate, pride, and condemnation are things that we have to be eternally vigilant about as
Christians. Yes, we have the truth, but we must have love for the lost. Sometimes, I find myself hating and judging these people because they are teaching a lie, when really I should be loving them because they will be going to hell without Jesus. My hope is that those who do not believe in Jesus will come to believe in the truth and be saved. May God help

Then why are there so many Christian evolutionists posting here?

All of the "facts" that the original poster provided are false.

I'm normally not in favor of thread necromancy, but I have to admit this one was pretty fun to read.

- OP starts by saying he wants to debate evolution and creationism, and starts with a PRATT list, none of which actually address evolution.

- I still am not sure how the Christian Nation tangent popped up.

- Angry God-Hater trolling the angry Christian with straw man websites.

- A lot of people talking out their you know whats.

- The inevitable injection of apologetics into a supposed discussion of evolution and Creationism.

What an awfully good thread.

On one hand, either evolution or creation is true. It's interesting to find out which is true.

But what we REALLY need to be wondering is if God really created the universe. Is Jesus really who he says he is? Are we really headed to eternal hell without his blood and forgiveness?

These things are much more important that if evolution is true or not.

Where will we spend eternity?

Okay, I have a question for evolutionists. Even if evolution is true, where did the original life come from?

My personal vote is on the right chemical processes coming together, but then evolution itself doesn't even really address this question.

Life can't come from nothingness.

Since matter cannot be created or destroyed, I agree.

It's hard to say that the entire universe is one big accident.

Evolution does not address the entire universe. In fact, it applies to only a very small part of it. I also don't have any trouble with the possibility that the entire universe is one big accident. It seems just as likely as some invisible dude being responsible.

How did first life come to be? Did it just come from nowhere?

Since this thread is about evolution, how about if you start a new one, entitle it "Biogenesis" and then post your qeustion in the OP?

The very short answer is that some chemical processes are autocatalytic so life could have started with self-replicating molecules. It could also have been seeded by aliens, or been created by a deity like God. None of these origins of life would have any effect on evolutionary theory or the fact that evolution has occured once life did get started.

Can you not conceive of any other options? What about ID driven by aliens?

Dead

Thank goodness
