• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If you pray for help and talk to people about the way you feel it will make it better. noone can wave a magic wand noone can help you until you are willing to help yourself. I'll PM you my email address so you can email me any time you want I have been through the exact same and I am willing to help you in whichever way I can.

In the past I had to let go alot of friends and friends screwed me over but I think i'm over it now.. I think the evil within my heart was a result of personal issues on I felt about myself. For example, if I was [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed at myself I would rather be [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]ed at somebody else if I was sad about something I would make the other person feel sad. I know its wrong but i'm trying to get better

Join the club. We all have evil within us. The fact that you have recognized this says alot. If you are shocked at what you see in yourself after reading the scriptures then you are beginning to understand. We are a fallen race that is in need of redemption. The perfection that is required by the scriptures is the perfection of God. Everything else will be eventually destroyed. This is why Jesus gave His life for us. When we believe in Him we can receive His righteousness by accepting His sacrafice. The punishment that is due for the evil in your heart was laid on Him at the cross! All you have to do is believe in Him and repent by confessing your sin in prayer and asking for forgiveness.

Thanks .for that information.

You are pretty normal. It's a lifelong process to work the life of Jesus more and more deeply into our being.

Don't get overwhelmed by that verse. It is part of an arguement that presents the wonders of what Christ has achieved for us. The evil heart in that context refers to people who reject all the Christ has done.

Hello.

I understand your problem..I do the same.
Sometimes my anger goes utmost limit
it was ridiculous
Sometimes I would be so much pain because of hatred
Pain of my heart...basically
I believe that you might feel anguish feelings..
I understand.

I sometimes wonder how other people can be so happy and smile.
In the end, I think that they are resisting too.
I believe that once anger is released, it will last forever until one can forgive himself..

yup..releasing anger is the worst thing that can ever happen because you wouldn't know to make up for it.

I will pray for you because your pain is at such a large stake, worse than poverty..

Don't be so hard on yourself remember if you were perfect then Jesus would not have come, but since you aren't the grace of God is with you and for you. Its one thing to be forgiven but another thing is to recieve that forgivness from God don't reject the gift he has given you. Also forgive yourself, alot of people do alot of forgiving but they usually forget to to forgive themselves.
