Encounters With Angels

Have you ever had an encounter with an Angel? Would you know it if you did? I'm sure there are times we encounter angels without even knowing it. But I also know that at one time I had an encounter with one.

I had just got off work one day, and was walking to my car. I spotted a man across the street about half a block down. He was wearing a brown hooded robe like that of a monk. As soon as I saw him there was a sense of fear that came over me. I started walking faster and prayed, asking God not to let him approach me, and to keep him away.

I have no idea how he caught up to me as fast as he did, but it seemed like only seconds before his hand grabbed my arm, and I heard him say "Excuse me Miss". I looked at his hand and it looked extremely frail, a calmness came over me the moment I saw it.

I looked up at his face, He had a kind and gentle face. He looked somewhat sad, and downhearted. Then he said "I was wondering if you could help me, I seem to be lost. I'm looking for a certain crossroad, an intersection. The name of one of the roads is Everlasting Peace, the other is Rightousness. Do you know where I can find them?"

I just smiled and told him "Yes Jesus" With that his eyes lit up, and he got a huge smile on his face. He said "Yes you're right! you're right! Thank you!" he kicked up heels, and he started to walk away still kicking up his heels as he walked, and lifting his arms up in the air. He was filled with more joy than I could even imagine. I turned and took a couple steps away, then turned back around to see him again, but he was gone, it was as if he vanished into thin air.

What I didn't know at that time was how lost I was about to become myself. You could pretty much say that I became just as lost, sad and downhearted as he seemed to be when he approached me. But the good thing was that I knew the directions back to those crossroads, the ones called Everlasting Peace, and Rightousness. And I eventually followed them myself. I can honestly say that, the same Joy I saw in him the day I gave him directions, is the same joy God gives me today

It's interesting when that happened I didn't understand it all, but God used it later to show me what it was all about. I'm can't help but be in awe of His Power and the way He works in our lives.

I think I remember reading that story, but don't remember where it was lol! It is an awesome one! I do hope you'll be able to find it.

What an awesome encounter! Praise the Lord for sending his Angels out to us! I find it interesting that the Angel you had come to you was wearing brown, different apparel than the one I encountered but the same color. Wow! God is so Awesome, and the way He cares for us is truly amazing!
