Sorry, I'm 'working'.. had to actually do some LOL

Age was 14 for working papers here in NY... I think it still is. You are restricted in amount of hours. I started in the summer, I was hired to help with inventory for 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks I asked if I could work part time after school and they kept me on. Was great... I had to take the bus from my school, then the train into Manhattan and the subway uptown a stop.

I worked there a year and half... after the Christmas party the big boss came to me and said "we gotta let you go". I was just 16 and applied for unemployment insurance. I got a whopping $33 a week!

Ah... I love when something triggers old memories. I remember those days now... the mid 70s
