2 Kings 2:11-12 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more.

The fire purging the original sin and any venial sins before entering the throne of the Lord.
BY fire....

Nobody saw Henoch's rising. Nothing written.
Nor Moses rising up but they couldn't find his body after St Michael rebuked satan's want for corruption of his body.
But he was seen at the Transfiguration along side Elijah.

AND then I keep thinking that when the graves opened at the death of the Lord I'm gonna say St Joseph also rose bodily to Heaven because although the mystic saw his earthly funeral, nobody can find his body.

Just pondering.

I ponder these things deeply as I do my morning prayers.
Todays illuminous mysteries led me to ponder the Transfiguration and thus Elijah and the chariot of fire.

I also do a contemplative prayer of St Joseph and it's especially important to note how trusted he was. How he was filled in the Lord's spirit. How the very presence of Jesus also Baptized him, as the voice of our Lady baptized St John the baptist while Jesus in her womb.

It would only make sense St Joseph so close to the Lord surely rose bodily...
Because just as Mary remained pure due to being baptized outside of time for the promise the Lord made [and He is always faithful unto Himself] that being around St joseph a good man, His death rendered St Joseph also immediately prepared for Heaven bodily.

I think the fact Moses body could not be found as in Deuteronomy 34:5-6 ...

“So Moses the servant of the Lord died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the Lord. (6) And He (God) buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth-peor; but no man knows his burial place to this day.”

and Elijah's being taken up to heaven in a fierty chariot were examples of assumption and prefigured Mary's Assumption into Heaven. Nobody has ever laid claim to her relics or given a burial site.

Then the two them turned up at the Transfiguration, Moses representing the Law and Elijah the Prophets, while Mary was the New Eve.

To this day nobody knows the burial place of St Joseph either. Who was His Step Dad.
Deeply trusted to care for both Jesus and Mary.
A Saint saw his funeral...
But the tombs opened and the Saints were seen walking through the town.
Not spoken of as ghosts but the Saints.
