I just remembered this series suddenly while reading the GTA thread. I wonder what the people complaining about GTA and Diablo 2 will have to say about THIS game.

Basically, instead of playing the heroes in an RPG like Diablo 2, you play the dungeon keeper, so you build it, set traps, hire creatures, and have to defend your dungeon from all those "evil heroes" that have come to steal your treasure and kill you. You also get to torture those heroes (if you don't kill them first) until they see the light and convert to your cause. You also fight against other dungeon keepers in the game. Anyway, makes Diablo 2 seem like child's play in comparison.

Personally, I find the series to be one of the most original and innovative.

[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]! I didn't know anyone still played this game-- I LOVE IT!!!!! ::hugs CD:: It's honestly the most fun I've ever had with a pc. Have you played the first one? There hasn't been much change between the two--in DK2 you have a few new creatures and there's more quests and more structure to the game. I miss one thing about the original DK though, you could actually get permanent Horned Keepers on your side, unlike having to invoke him in DK2.

I don't think anyone could really complain about DK2--it's soo cartoonish compared to other games fundies love to bash. I saw Diablo 2 as more of a demented takeoff of FF7 (call me weird)--more a fantasy game than a "dark" game.

BTW/FYI--DK2 is more humourous than it is creepy.

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about. But like I always say: when the going gets tough, cheat.

There's no godmode for the game, however there is a nice type in cheat that bumps all your monsters up to level ten--very nice. This works for the honest gamers as well as the frustrated ones.
