Dream of cross melting to form 666

I wouldve posted this earlier but I had to go hang out with Chrisbot to get 100 posts so i can post my image.

I dreamt I was in the bathroom blowdrying my hair.
My crucifix I was wearing somehow got tangled up into the blower (where it blows out.)
I tried to pull it out but it worsened and went it tighter and and I thought "Oh no this is the end" and I felt an
electrical surge. I didn't die. But I'm a bit fuzzy trying to remember in the dream that either something "evil" entered into me or was close by.
I got the crucifix out but the cross had melted to form droplets in this symbol of 6 6 6 at the edges of the cross (see below.) The dream ended with me looking at the cross in shock and the focus was on the symbol.

I'm not an artist but I opened up paint to form what I saw. It's pretty close to what I saw.
I prayed after I woke up and I cringe everytime I see this image.

well looking and the image it looks like the sixes are in strategic places.... i will explain

as we all know that our Lord when he was curcified he bled from seven place from his body ie the crown of thorns was the blood of Jesus covering/canceling out our poverty the stripes on his back we receive healing etc..

now the blood from the hands represents that what ever we put our hands to shall prosper but the enemy is trying to block that in your life he is trying to make you fail at everything you put your hands to ie business,witnessing well anything you are trying to do for yourself and for the kingdom.

Christ bled form the feet this represents us walking in victory over the enemy so the 6 that is there represents the enemy trying to make you walk defeted in your life

God is so good that you now have the answer to all your problem. you have to tell the devil to hit the Road..

i could be wrong,, but you must admit it does sound good LOL

That is a good point. I had similar thoughts today when I was writing in my journal about it. I thought maybe my crucifix was me getting tangled up into something sinister that could turn out very badly -or- I needed to strengthen my faith better before I be put to work doing something else. But it didn't feel right to be the meaning of the dream for me. Not that I'm in denial, but it had something to do with the symbol of the crucifix. The other day my mom was talking about the endtimes (with all the obscenities we see on the news etc) so it might have been my brain picking up on the antichrist theme and it could also be a sign the endtimes are close. I'm no prophet but it's just a suggestion. Anyways my sister said the symbol reminded her of something you would see in a text book of symbols for the antichrist.
I did pray about a clearer clarification about the dream.

Don't freak out. 666 is not the number of the Beast (it is 616).

Your dream is a statement from God that believing 666 is the number of the Beast is a sin: a sin that was paid for on the cross, but a sin which is ignored (as the melting of the cross was meant to tell you).

You cannot work out the name of the Beast (which is "Asyuhe" - pronounced, not insignificantly, as "As-you-are") with the number 666.

Your confirmation of this interpretation would be helpful.

I just had a dream that may go along with yours - it is titled "Surrogate mother" and is about me carrying someone else's child and the baby's umbilical cord is contracting. The passage I read was Daniel 9. I believe we are in those last days before Christ's return and that possibly what you are seeing is the rise of the antichrist and his power that the Lord gives the saints over to him to conquer them and also the abomination that causes desolation symbolized by the 3 sixes on the cross (the antichrist).

That is a powerful dream. That would be one that would stick in the mind.

I believe the dream may mean that what appears of God is actually evil & of satan. The three sixes on each end could represent this person will appear to worship the Trinty. Notice the top of the cross points toward Heaven but has no six attached to it.
I find it interesting that you are blowdrying your hair & when the dryer applies heat that cross shows its' true intent.

*I saw Obama speaking at his church the other day on a news clip. He said Christ instead of Jesus Christ.

I had recently heard someone say that sometimes cults teach you how to appear Christian but deny the Lorship of Jesus. He is teaching from experience as he came out of cult years ago.

I won't get to much into which is worse an openly distorted faith(Obama) or a hidden agenda to rule the world (McCain starring as the Manchurian Candidate), either way I would start by thinking about the atmosphere of the dream. God even when He is demonstrating His anger does not have that sleezy feel. Demons like to try to impress us with their ingenuity, and you may have simply been wathcing alot of horror films and had some odd culinary mixtures before bed. Usually though it is the atmosphere of a dream that gives it away. Sometime I like to call it the 'smell.' Demons stink and they vibrate weirdly if you know what I am saying. If you run into a person who is posessed, whether in a pemanent status or just being used ad hoc to try to interefere with you or even the situation that is developing you will notice subtle differences in how they act. Some of the most obvious cases I have seen I tell you it is almost like a mist comes around them and they start acting out oddly, like obsessively rubbing their belly buttons or looking at you with those wolfen eyes. I don't want to get into it too much because it just inflates their sickened egos even more. But you in Christ, if you are a believer have authority over the spirits. Someone can get you the verse where the disciples returned from their journeys rejoicing because the demons were subject to them. Just pray about it and say 'Lord Jesus if this was from you can you replay it for me, I'm not sure I understood. If it was from the enemy show me how I might be leaving myself open to this and help me close the door or repent if needed.' The reason I am reluctant to try to interpret the symbols is that I am not certain the dream came from the Lord. In which case it was either you or the devil. You we can talk to. The devil,... well I won't spend any more of my life weaving for him a web of intrigue. So, my advice, pray about it and let us know how things go.

Your dream speaks to me of deception. Seems like God is warning us about the onslaught of deception in the present as well as the future, when the man of sin, the son of perdition will be revealed on the throne in our hearts. The man of sin is that Adamic nature we follow in our flesh when we dont worship God in spirit and in truth. The cross you were wearing on your neck is the Christianity we profess to the world and carry with us. The act of blow drying your hair represents to me the act of catering to the needs of the flesh, and being concerned about appearances.

Christianity today is a lot about appearances and putting up a façade to create an image that were holy. This is true for both the church and us as individuals. But its like we blow a lot of hot air, and theres a lot of lies and deception coming from the pulpit and being manifest in our lives thatll end up sucking up our Christianity and distorting it to the point that it doesnt resemble the cross of Christ and wha the Lord preached, but something that is man-made, i.e. religion. When we distort the truth, even a little bit, it becomes a lie. This is what I shared on another thread about Paul the apostle coming to the people in fear and trembling because he was humble and feared that he might preach or represent a different gospel (1Corin.2:3). Note, much of what is spoken in the epistles is about defending the faith and avoiding deception.

The Bible says in Revelations 13 that 666 is the number of a man (or man). Man=flesh=carnality=nature of the beast=666. Jesus said we cannot worship God through the ways of the flesh.

I like how the droplets formed into the sixes -- that is how it appears on your drawing. Someone metioned deception, and that could be how the crucifux has come to represent organizations, not just Jesus' death.

It could be the church -- most of Christendom -- which was once seen as fairly solid, is transforming or revealing its other connections.

It could also be the harrassment others spoke of above -- Satan wanting us to believe that he can trasnform and corrupt Christ's bride.

I am not confining this to one denomination. A lot of public preaching these days has promoted unity and blind obedience, which opens the door for pyramidal structure and refusal to question corrupt leaders.

The number 6 represents man. Man dreams up additional rules and restrictions, man oppresses others in order to get ahead, man is intelligent but often unwise, man feels strong but shows himself weak, man likes to rally others to support his cause.. made of dust and water, but wondrously made.

I've heard the theory on 616 before, but I don't remember the explanation. Here's the Greek:

Hi all thank you for the responses! Sorry I hadn't got back. The image is so very disturbing to me and I prayed about it and for clearer clarification of the dream . I don't know if this could be an answer I did have a dream last night but it had nothing of a cross like that in it but was religious.

There was a renovated church and didn't look like a church at all with the color scheme on the front which was red, brown, white and tan. Kinda modern looking.
It was a church that (please don't anyone get offended)
mostly African Americans went to. There were some white people but not much. There were a few women that were selling some church items inside the church, like necklaces and jewelry with crosses, and cross stich book marks with scripture sayins. The pastor was mid-40s and said he was looking for Jehovah and was writing a paper on him and he asked a crowd of people if anyone had any books about him. But he wasn't asking the crowd it was like he was asking me but asking the crowd to get me to answer. The first thought occured in my dream, Why doesn't he look at his bible. Then a book popped up in my head .. the prayer of jabez by bruce wilkinson.. I didn't say anything because I was thinking that wasn't the right one he would want. (You know like when your in class and you get an answer in your head when the teacher asks a question but you don't say it cause you know it's the wrong answer.) Anyways he went on to his search for God.
That is the last I can remember of the dream.

The cross vision seemed to show the morphing or true nature of a religion that claimed to be Christian, so the dream of the church could easily tie in with it.

You were concerned about having dreamt of a black church -- years ago, Jesse Jackson used to pastor a Baptist church. He was strong on lifting people out of their circumstances. This empowerment stance led him into connections with secular leaders and eventually to international leaders.

Another empowerment movement with religious overtones is the black muslim movement. (See Louis Farrakhan, the Million Man March.)

I would guess that the popularity of the Chicago pastor's videos will spark curiosity in similar movements, and widen the extremes of alliances.

Could either represent what mainstream Christians read, or the mindset of wanting something from God and finding systems to get it.... setting God asidein order to promote methods of accomplishment.

As the dream opens, you are in the bathroom dry blowing your hair. Being in the bathroom is often a good sign. This is because the bathroom is a place of cleansing and elimination. It is where we clean our spiritual selves and eliminate impurities not to imply that you are particularly unclean or impure, probably just the opposite.

Blow drying your hair is another dream image that we might expect to have a positive meaning. The air/wind is a symbol of pneuma the spirit. Your hair is on your head. It is, therefore, a reasonable symbol of your brain or how you think. Thus, you have been having spiritual thoughts perhaps spiritual insights.

The crucifix is, probably obviously, a symbol of your religion or your religious beliefs. When you get the crucifix unstuck from the hair dryer, you see that the cross had melted to form 3 sixes.

You also wrote that you felt an electric charge as you tried to pull out the crucifix. My personal opinion is that electricity is almost always a positive symbol in a dream. For Christians, it is usually a sign of the Holy Spirit.

I believe that the meaning of the dream is something like this. Spiritual thoughts have given rise to doubts about your religion or your religious beliefs. You are seeing that your church or religion has more interest in the glorification of man rather than the love of God.

I think your two dreams are connected.

I believe the Spirit is saying the Church has gone so out in left field by the leaders becoming so loose in the interpretations & teaching the Word. It is no longer a double edge sword or food for the spirit, but something nonthreatening & ear tickling.
& I find it interesting the women are selling trinkets instead of reading the Word or listening to teaching. They are not setting in the sanctuary, but outside of it. Kinda like the money changers Jesus had a word with.

Seems like the church has become so much like the world they have precious very little to give nonbelievers. Sad....

Heron hit upon a valid insight: the cross morphing into what has traditionally burned its way into our brains as the number representing the "Beast" (a false form of churchianity proclaiming itself the only true way of Christ and seizing political and legislative power, using it ultimately to oppress the true people of God -- see Rev. 13) represents the transition of what appears to be true Christian religion into something quite other. And indeed this symbol aptly captures the true nature and origin of the Beast described in the latter half of Revelation 13, the one associated with 666.

Now if we could just keep the nasty wingnut Obama slams out of this thread so we could all focus on EDIFYING conversation, that would be greaaaaaattttt..... The Beast will NOT be appearing in a white house near you without coming from the political contingents that want to blur the line between church and state, period. Obama does not fit that bill so lets all can it with the cheap political mudslinging in this thread, please, and concentrate on the substance of the OP's dream.

Another thing that came to mind bes the fact that in the Hebrew language, the number 6 bes associated with the letter "vau" which in turn bes called the "nail". The 3 sixes in your dream appear where the three nails would be -- one in each hand (wrist) of the Saviour and a third nailing Him on the cross at the feet.
