Because this is a forum for asking about your religion I want to understand what your religion says about the best way to live. It seems to me that although being married is perfectly ok. The apostles seemed to lean towards celibacy as the best way, unless it's to much for an individual. It seems to lean towards celibacy.
I'm a Buddhist and I think the same is true in Buddhism. Although being in a relationship is perfectly fine and ok, the monastic tradition was there from the very beginning and tends to be held higher that the lay life.
