  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I hate to be the one to be the bearer of bad news...but I have 2 boxers and they shed unbelievably. The hair they shed is short LOL, but they still shed. Many short hair breeds will still shed (I grew up with Dobermans and they shed also). Of course, I wouldn't trade my boxers for anything else in the world, so IMO, the shedding is a fair trade for all those wiggles and kisses.

She's right. My short-haired dog and my mother's short-haired dog actually leave behind more fur individually than my brother's very, very hairy dog - who is actually much bigger than both! Their fur is also harder to remove from clothing and furniture, in my opinion. The hairs are short so they can withstand more pressure to the tips before bending, which in turn makes it easy for them to weave through fabrics.

I own both a boxer (who sheds) and a Welsh Terrier (who does not shed).

The boxer sheds quite a bit (although it's a very small price to pay for owning a boxer- they're awesome dogs to own). The Welsh does not shed "technically," but when you hold her the fur gets transferred to whatever you're wearing very easily. It's even a little more difficult with her because her fur is blond- you see it much easier on dark clothing. (the boxer is brindle and it's more difficult to see his hair.)

Hope some of that made sense!
