This is an excellent starting point!

We have been taught that if people are born gay, then it would be as a result of their genetic makeup, which would be in direct contradiction to what we have been taught about what the Bible says concerning this subject. So, which is right? What we have been taught, or, what the scientific community and our own experience from knowing such people for years? Or could the position that I have come to believe is the most logical, be the truth?

For example, one poster in this thread brought up the Sodom and Gomorrah story. They committed many sins, but the one that finally brought God to send angels to investigate them was the one that is very common....in prisons. The 'kingpins' of any prison either perform this act themselves, or have it done for them by their soldiers. This act works to humiliate and totally break down the would-be challenger to them. It is clear by reading the Genesis account that this was the goal of the leader/s of Sodom. It is very obvious that every man, woman, and child (Gen.19:4) of Sodom were not gay. They were very evil, depraved, and straight (heterosexual).

God condemns sodomy between 2 men as a sin if I'm not mistaken.
I cannot say for certain that God condemns love that exists between any 2 people(gay or straight)
Homosexual SEX is most definately condemned...just to be literal about this.

I believe that he created them, not created them to be homosexual but that he did create them. But he didn't create them homosexual. His word will never return unto him void.

I don't believe so from what I've witnessed and can testify too that there are only bisexuals and they have repented and are very happy living as heterosexuals.

I'm been doing some studying on famous entertainers and they were ALL bisexual NOT homosexual.

So I don't even believe there is such a thing as a homosexual.

Well, there is something called the Kinsey Scale which the pervert Kinsey came up with in his sexual research. You have people who are really all the way gay on one end, people who are all the way straight on the other end, and various levels of bisexuality in between, according to it. Not that I think his work is the final word on it, but it is interesting as his work was one of the "rational" excuses for the sexual revolution, yet the gay fundamentalists practically reject it. They're pushing bisexual people to be counted and live as though they were full-blown gay. And for this reason, I believe the number of gay people is overstated.

Even in the Greco Roman times they were bisexual. A true and only homosexual I believe does not exist, not from the research I've done. They think they are gay, yet they have lived their life as a bisexual with sexual relationships with both sexes (these are some entertainers I am speaking about).

The ones I've known in my personal life starting from high school were bisexual and experimenting, which the entertainment profession in many ways has tried to push on young teenagers, David Bowie especially with his "Rebel, Rebel". It became a "fad" to those teenagers I knew, and then they had nervous breakdowns and had to be with the school counselors from first thing in the morning, at lunch, after school, by their choice because they were crying every single day, crying every single night, and this went on not for days but years for some kids in high school.

Bisexuality is an act of rebellion against God, with media and cultural influences that come apart from God. God is not the author of confusion. The world and Satan are.

I've also heard of the "twin studies". One heterosexual, one homosexual. If they are twins, they would be the SAME if they are born that way.

It doesn't matter if a "true" homosexual is 100% or 50%, if they practice it, they are going against God and His Holy Word. Justification of one's actions doesn't make it right. I can go to a bank with a gun and tell the banker that I am just going to rob him of $1,000 instead of $10,000. That doesn't mean I am 1/2 robber and 1/2 non-robber.

Genesis 1v27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

God made man in his own image and he made a female to be with the man

The Lord uses reverence for reverence and he uses fear for fear

No because people are not born gay. I have been around enough gays to conclude this. My view on this is only strengthened by my roommate who is a staunch atheist, but shares my view on this subject 100%. We have had multiple subjects concerning this issue and the many experiences we have had concerning homosexuality. While we are in opposite ends on our view of God we cannot agree more that people are not born gay.
