  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Do Your Actions Speaks Louder then your knowledge?

When one comes to the word of God we find that the blind leads the blind, because most people do not take the time and read for themselves. Jesus say in Luke 6:39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch? Now understand that this is a spiritual and a physical saying, but in this case I’m seeing the spiritual side of this blind side of man. Paul say in 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Hardly know one, once to admit that they follow Satan, but there’s no middle ground in the case, either you follow God (Jesus) or Satan. It’s written in Revelation 12: 9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Once a person realize they have been deceive that’s when the true change can come in. A Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ and our adjective is to be Christ like. For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: (1 Peter 2: 21, 22)

Jesus says in Luke: 31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick. 32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. See sin is what got us these two death in the first place. Let’s take a look at the biblical definition of sin. 1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.)

So when you sin, you transgress the law, what law? The Commandments brother and Sisters. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward. Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1: 6,8,9)

So if you think because Jesus die for our sins, and you don’t have to keep the law (Commandments) then you are sinning, and Paul told us in Romans 6: 23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We all have to do the same thing to get in the kingdom of God, and one of those things is keeping the Commandments. A man asked Jesus this very question, "...What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?", and Jesus replied, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-19). This was a direct answer to a direct question, which all of us will do well to take heed to. Anybody can claim to have faith, but actions speak louder than words. Faith and works go together and you can't have one without the other. "Here is the patience of the saints; here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus" (Revelation 14:12).

Jesus had a custom, and his custom was to keep the Sabbath day on the seventh day of the week, but in our day we keep Sunday, and for some reason its not written in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, to attend Church service on the first day of the week. But let's go into Luke 4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. (Mt 5:48)

How does that verse make you feel? I'm guessing you might be looking for a way to wiggle out of it.

How does that verse make you feel? I'm guessing you might be looking for a way to wiggle out of it.
I would've loved if you could've of found a way to ask a question with a humble heart. Let's take a look at an example of being perfect in Isaiah 38: 1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live. 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, 3 and said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying, 5 Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.

Let's take another look at an example in Genesis 17: 1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

9 And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations. 10 This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 23 And Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and all that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's house; and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the selfsame day, as God had said unto him. 24 And Abraham was ninety years old and nine, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. 26In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son. 27 And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.

Hezekiah had a perfect heart toward God and Abraham had perfect faith towards God, while keeping God's Commandments, Statues and Judgements as we are to keep this day.

Let's take a look at a situation in Matthew 19: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Notice the young man says "All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?" The young man didn’t need to ask this question to Jesus, because he was already in a good place with the Lord. This is where the story gets interesting, because if you read the full story which we have to do, to get full understanding. We will see that the keeping of the Commandments Jesus mention wasn't the young man problem, it was something else. We do well learning from this, because it's always something we need to prove in our walk in the Lord.

21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. 22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. The young may have been perfect in keeping the Commandments, and doing so he was blessed and had great possession, but when he was ask what he lack, and it was giving up everything to follow Jesus. The young man had a problem with that.

So Jesus says if thou be perfect, that means the young was really close to being perfect, but the young had great riches that he couldn't let go, and that goes with what Jesus says in Matthew (22:37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (38) This is the first and great commandment. This was very hard for the young man to do. So let's recap the story a little, the young man kept the commandments from his youth up, all most perfect, except one thing Jesus ask him to do, and that's sell all his possession and come follow him. This is about the young man heart, he did right by keeping the law from his youth up and he was bless, but his heart toward the lord was not all the way in place.

So let's continue in Matthew 19: 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? 26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

The keeping of Sunday as the Christian Sabbath is not of God but of Man. If you are a true Christian, which means a follower of Christ or to be Christ like; then why are you following a day set up by man? Paul kept the Lord’s Sabbath well after the death and resurrection of Christ. So why are you going to church on the first day of the week? Well if you don’t know history will tell you why.

ORIGIN OF SUNDAY WORSHIP

Ample evidence from history shows that the celebration of Sunday originated from pagan practices of SUN WORSHIP. In March of 321 A.D., the Roman Emperor Constantine, who was at first a sun-worshiper and later a Christian convert, issued the first decree declaring Sunday to be a legal day of rest. In 336 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church officially changed the observance of Sabbath to Sunday for political and economic expediency. Since then, the original Sabbath gradually gave way to Sunday observance and the practice remains to this day.

You see, in the Council of Trent (1545 A.D.), the church leaders ruled that "tradition" is of as great authority as the Bible! They believed that God had given them the authority to change the Bible any way they pleased. By "tradition" they meant human teachings.

The sun was the main god of the heathen even back as far as ancient Babylon. Since they worshiped the sun on Sunday, the compromising church leaders could see that if they changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, it would accomplish several things. Number one - it would separate them from the Jews who were hated by many of the Romans and who, along with Jesus, And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. (Luke 4:16), had been worshiping on Saturday from the beginning (and still do today). Number two - it would make it much easier for the pagans to come into the church if the Christians met on the same day that the pagan world did.

It worked well. Pagans flocked in by the thousands. Satan's plan of compromise was doing its baleful work. The change was attempted gradually but many of the true hearted, loyal Christians were alarmed. They came to the leaders and wanted to know why they had dared tamper with the law of Almighty God! The church leaders knew this would happen - and they had an answer ready. It's a masterpiece. If a person doesn't know the bible well it sounds good.

The people were told that they were worshiping on Sunday now because Jesus rose from the dead on that day.

There's not even one verse in the Bible that tells us to do this, but that's what they were told. Isn't it amazing! Maybe you've even heard that yourself!

When Emperor Constantine became a Christian, Christianity became the state religion you remember. As thousands of sun-worshipers flocked into the church, it wasn't long before they had a dominating influence. Most of his top officials had been sun-worshipers. Because the Roman government was getting shaky, Constantine consulted with his aides and with the church officials in Rome.

"What shall we do? How can we unite and stabilize the government?"

The counsel of the church leaders was timely.

"Pass a Sunday law. Force everyone to cease work and honor Sunday."

That was it! It would satisfy the sun-worshiping pagans, and unite pagans, Christians, and the Roman empire as never before.

The year is 321 A.D. Constantine, yielding to the suggestion of church leaders passes the first Sunday law! Here it is, straight out of the record:

"Let all the judges and town people, and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the sun" Edict of March 7, 321 A.D. Corpus Juris Civilis Cod., lib. 3, tit. 12, Lex. 3.

I would've loved if you could've of found a way to ask a question with a humble heart.
I was challenging you to admit you fail to live up to the requirements of the commandment. Your answer, though too long to read, did not appear to meet the challenge.

You see, in the Council of Trent (1545 A.D.), the church leaders ruled that "tradition" is of as great authority as the Bible! They believed that God had given them the authority to change the Bible any way they pleased.
False. In a process that spanned centuries and in conjunction with the Holy Spirit the Catholic Church chose the 73 books of the Bible in the later
300s. Those 73 books have been declared the Word of God by the Catholic Church and no man has the power to change the Bible in any way. Our Bibles still contain 73 books and are in the same order established in the late 300s.
By "tradition" they meant human teachings.
False. The Catholic Church categorizes the Word of God, passed down from Jesus through the Apostles, as Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, sometimes referred to as "Scripture" or "Tradition."
Sacred Tradition is the Word of God as opposed to mere human tradition.

When Emperor Constantine became a Christian, Christianity became the state religion you remember.
False. There was no state religion established during the reign of Constantine.
In 336 A.D., the Roman Catholic Church officially changed the observance of Sabbath to Sunday for political and economic expediency. Since then, the original Sabbath gradually gave way to Sunday observance and the practice remains to this day.
The truth is that Catholics worshiped on Sunday long before Constantine, as you can see in the Bible:

Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week when we gathered to break bread, Paul spoke to them because he was going to leave on the next day, and he kept on speaking until midnight

The Reformers had constantly charged ... that the Catholic Church had apostatized from the truth as contained in the written word. "The written word," "The Bible and the Bible only," "Thus saith the Lord," these were their constant watchwords; and "The Scripture, as in the written word, the sole standard of appeal," this was the proclaimed platform of the Reformation and of Protestantism.

"The Scripture and tradition." "The Bible as interpreted by the Church and according to the unanimous consent of the Father," this was the position and claim of the Catholic Church. This was the main issue in the Council of Trent, which was called especially to consider the questions that had been raised and forced upon the attention of Europe by the Reformers. The very first question concerning faith that was considered by the council was the question involved in this issue.

There was a strong party even of the Catholics within the council who were in favor of abandoning tradition and adopting the Scriptures only, as the standard of authority. This view was so decidedly held in the debates in the council that the pope's legates actually wrote to him that there was "a strong tendency to set aside tradition altogether and to make Scripture the sole standard of appeal." But to do this would manifestly be to go a long way toward justifying the claims of the Protestants. By this crisis there was developed upon the ultra-Catholic portion of the council the task of convincing the others that "Scripture and tradition" were the only sure ground to stand upon. If this could be done, the council could be carried to issue a decree condemning the Reformation, otherwise not. The question was debated day after day, until the council was fairly brought to a standstill.

Finally, after a long and intensive mental strain, the Archbishop of Reggio came into the council with substantially the following argument to the party who held for Scripture alone: "The Protestants claim to stand upon the written word only. They profess to hold the Scripture alone as the standard of faith. They justify their revolt by the plea that the Church has apostatized from the written word and follows tradition. Now the Protestants' claim, that they stand upon the written word only, is not true. Their profession of holding the Scripture alone as the standard of faith, is false.

PROOF: The written word explicitly enjoins the observance of the seventh day as the Sabbath. They do not observe the seventh day, but reject it. If they do truly hold the Scripture alone as their standard, they would be observing the seventh day as is enjoined in the Scripture throughout. Yet they not only reject the observance of the Sabbath enjoined in the written word, but they have adopted and do practice the observance of Sunday, for which they have only the tradition of the Church. Consequently the claim of 'Scripture alone as the standard,' fails; and the doctrine of 'Scripture and tradition' as essential, is fully established, the Protestants themselves being judges."

There was no getting around this, for the Protestants' own statement of faith -- the Augsburg Confession, 1530 -- had clearly admitted that "the observation of the Lord's day" had been appointed by "the Church" only.

The argument was hailed in the council as of Inspiration only; the party for "Scripture alone," surrendered; and the council at once unanimously condemned Protestantism and the whole Reformation as only an unwarranted revolt from the communion and authority of the Catholic Church; and proceeded, April 8, 1546, "to the promulgation of two decrees, the first of which enacts, under anathema, that Scripture and tradition are to be received and venerated equally, and that the deutero-canonical [the apocryphal] books are part of the canon of Scripture. ...

Thus it was the inconsistency of the Protestant practice with the Protestant profession that gave to the Catholic Church her long-sought and anxiously desired ground upon which to condemn Protestantism and the whole Reformation movement as only a selfishly ambitious rebellion against church authority. And in this vital controversy the key, the chiefest, and culminative expression, of the Protestant inconsistency was in the rejection of the Sabbath of the Lord, the seventh day, enjoined in the Scriptures, and the adoption and observance of the Sunday as enjoined by the Catholic Church.

Who is your authority- God or the one who admits to changing God's times and laws Dan7:25

No wonder why we are told to worship the God of Creation Rev 14:7 a direct quote from the 4th commandment Exo20:11 - the Sabbath is God's sign of His sanctification Eze20:12 that He is our God Eze 20:20

A sign means seal. In the end times we will all be marked, its a matter of which mark one will receive. Rev14:11-12

Its all about choices, whoever we obey is who we serve. Rom6:16

So I believe its more than just Sunday or Sabbath. Its a matter of who voice we are going to listen to. I say we listen to the God who has the power to Create heaven and earth Exo20:11 the only God who has the power to sanctify a day Gen2:1-3 and the only One who has the power to sanctity us Eze20:12, because we can't do this ourselves Isa66:17, even our churches can't do this, only God. Lets get back to the God of Creation and obey Him through our faith and love the way He said. Exo31:18 Exo20:1-17

The observance of Sunday by the Protestants is homage they pay, in spite of themselves, to the authority of the [Catholic] Church.

Acts 20:7 On the first day of the week when we gathered to break bread, Paul spoke to them because he was going to leave on the next day, and he kept on speaking until midnight
There is no mention of worship in this verse, no mention of transferring God's holy Sabbath. Lets keep in mind Jesus ratified His cross decades prior to this. Nothing can be added. A covenant could not be ratified without blood. To make this change Jesus would of had to die all over again. His sacrifice was once and for all. Heb10:10

If we look at the verse in context its about the apotles coming together in the evening to break bread. Breaking bread means having a meal Acts 2:26. Why they came together because Paul was going on a mission trip the next morning, this was a Saturday night meeting Paul leaving and traveling on Sunday.

Why take a verse that says nothing about changing one of God's commandments, which would require the blood of Jesus to do so, in lieu of so much plain Scripture.

The apostles were followers of Christ, He kept the Sabbath Luke4:16 as did the apostles, shown to keep every Sabbath with both Jews and Gentiles just as Jesus said:

Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord:

“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.

2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Isa 56:6
“Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants

Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant

7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain,
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.

Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
Will be accepted on My altar;
For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

Which Jesus quoted Mat21:13 why we see both Jews and Gentiles keeping every Sabbath as predicted because His house of prayer (Church) is for all nations who keeps the Sabbath and holds fast God's covenant- which He promised not to alter Psa89:34

Acts 13:42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

Acts 13:44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Acts 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

Why the Sabbath continues on for God's saints for eternity

Isa 66:22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord,

“So shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

He went to the synagogue on Saturday because they was where everyone congregated.
He went there to proclaim that he was the Messiah promised to them by God.

Heb 4:8-10:

"For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his."

That full-time Sabbath rest (Heb 4:4) is in our Sabbath, Jesus Christ, from our own work to save and in his work which saves to the uttermost (Heb 7:25).

Jesus never turned into the 4th commandment. He is the Creator, not the creation. Lord of the Sabbath Mat 2:28, not that He is the Sabbath commandment.

Heb4:4 says God rested on the seventh day a quote from the 4th commandment where God spoke this way about the seventh day. Exo 20:8-11 It says nothing about Him being our full-time rest. God did not rest 6 days, He worked Gen1, just as He commanded us to as well as man was made in His image and likeness Gen1:26 to follow Him and rested the seventh day Gen2:1-3 Exo 20:10-11 just as we are to if one also enters His rest Heb4:10 where there is no rebellion to Him or His commandments Isa 48:18, why its rest and not unrest Rev14:11 The Scriptures are better if we just allow them to speak for Themselves. Heb3 and 4 is quoting OT not introducing any new doctrine changing God's times and laws we are warned of Dan7:25

Hebrews was written decades after the Cross. Jesus ratified His covenant at His cross and in order to make a change He would have to die all over again, but His sacrifice was once and for all.

Jesus turning into the Sabbath would make so many verses out of context like this one in the New Heaven and New Earth

Isa 66:22 “For as the new heavens and the new earth
Which I will make shall remain before Me,” says the Lord,
“So shall your descendants and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass
That from one New Moon to another,
And from one Sabbath Jesus rest to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.

Why would the saints come before the Lord to worship if Jesus is our rest and therefore do not need to keep the Sabbath. No Scripture says this, Jesus gives us rest, but to enter one would not be rebelling against His commandments.

When God defines something as He did with the Sabbath in His written and spoken Testimony, in my humble opinion its best not to add to or take from, and just let God be God. Editing what God said as if we know better I do not think its a good idea, we are warned about doing this exact thing. Pro30:5-6 Deut4:2 Mat5:18 Rev22:19

Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. Not Jesus is the Sabbath. Jesus did not give Himself a commandment, it is something man does according to Him Isa 56:2 Exo20:8-11

Jesus never turned into the 4th commandment.
Precisely. . .nor did the Lamb of God turn into a lamb.

The 4th commandment was a pattern, type of our true Sabbath rest in Jesus Christ,
just as the sacrifices were a pattern, type of our true remission of sin in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
He is the Creator, not the creation.

Heb4:4 says God rested on the seventh day, nothing about Him being our full-time rest. The Scriptures are better if we
just allow them to speak for Themselves.
Agreed. . .as in the following:

Heb 4:8-10:

"For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day.
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his."

So you substitute the Old Covenant commands ("do no harm") for Jesus' New Covenant command (love one another as I have loved you),
and the Old Covenant Sabbath rest for Jesus, the New Covenant Sabbath rest (Heb 4:8-10), in whom we rest full-time (Heb 4:4) from all our works to save and in his work which saves to the uttermost (Heb 7:25).

Jesus is our Creator and Sanctifier that the Sabbath is a sign of and started before any covenant Exo20:11 so will never be a shadow of anything, why it continues for eternity thus saith the Lord Isa66:22-23. Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man. Mark2:27 its something man does Isa56:1-7 which is a passage Jesus quoted from that continues on in the NC. Acts 13:42 Acts 13:44 Acts 18:4 Man was made before the first Sabbath. Gen1:26 Started before sin and is part of God's perfect plan. There is a reason we are told not to change a jot or tittle Mat5:18-19 of God's own written and spoken Testimony because we are not God. Exo 31:18

Only God can sanctify a day, only God can sanctify us, both are tied to the Sabbath the way God said. Exo 20:8-11 which Heb4:4 speaks of in this way. We can't sanctify ourselves Isa66:17 we need God. God spoke and God wrote and God is eternal, why He said He would not alter His words. Psa89:34 He just placed His laws on a better surface 2Cor3:3 Heb8:10 established on better promises Heb8:6, if we do not rebel Rom8:7-8 Heb3:7-13 like those who came before us Eze20:13 Heb4:11 so we can enter into our Promise Land Rev22:14

And Jesus is God, who gave us a new command (love one another as I have loved you), which far supercedes the old command (do no harm).
Only God can sanctify a day, only God can sanctify us,
And Jesus is not God, our full-time (Heb 4:4) Sabbath rest, in whom all our days are sanctified (Heb 4:8-10)?

Your God is too small, and his arm too short.

There is no Scripture that say one command deletes everything God ever said Jesus told us to live by Mat4:4 but suit yourself.

Sadly, I am not the one reducing God down, I am lifting His Words up, not what sounds pleasing to the ears forgetting what God said not to. No matter how many times one posts Heb4:4 and tries to make it say God's full time rest will not change what it actually says, we are told not to add or take from Pro30:5-6

Heb 4:4 For He (God) has spoken Exo 20:1 in a certain place (Mt Sinai) of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

This passage does not say full-time anywhere, it doesn't say He is our rest anywhere in this verse, it says plainly, when God rested, on the seventh day. Which we are to as well for those who enter His rest Heb4:10. No one is rebelling against the 4th commandment or any of God's commandments in His rest. That is unrest, not rest Rev14:11-12 Isa48:18

Nor does it say all our days are sanctified anywhere in Heb8-10.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree and all will get sorted out at His soon return.

But for those with eyes to see, there is a new command (Jn 13:34) that is greater (love one another as I have loved you) than the law of Moses (do no harm), and which completely supercedes it as it necessarily fulfills it (Ro 13:8-10).

Rom13:9 Mat4:4 seems to say something different. The Ten Commandments predates Moses according to the Testimony of God Exo20:11
