He speaks the truth. He split the thread. I was trying my hardest to be the victor.

Yes you did try hard to be the victor, but we all know I truly deserved to be the one to split the thread. Luckily fate agreed.

May this thread become a new book in the Bible, I know the Vatican is thinking of canonizing the "Do you want to become a Christian????" thread in the Bible.
yeah i don't know how well that would work. I want people to read it though, and it is the gospel

Is it that simple? I don't have to live my life with faith or make Jesus Lord of my life? Just say a few simple words and bang, I'm going to heaven? Sweet deal. Maybe I'll do this on my way to my Baha'i service.

I believe that Christianity does not begin with words or even prayer. It begins with faith brought about by a willingness to listen to the calling of the Holy Spirit in us/our lives. We cannot begin to pray unless we have some measure of faith. (1 Cor. 12:3) We are saved by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8, John 3:16) That (saving) faith is alive in works, which goes beyond saying a few words. (Mark 16:16, James 2:17) God has given us instructions on how we are to live, but I do not recall the sinner's prayer in the Bible. In fact, in Luke 23, we see a man who did not utter such a prayer, but rather simply uttering in faith to be remembered when Jesus/Yeshua comes into His kingdom-something far shorter than the Sinner's prayer by still demonstrates faith. (Luke 23:39-43) The Sinner's Prayer seems like an overly formulaic way of synopsizing the Gospel, and I've seen it used in a way that put's the work of the Spirit in a man-made box.

Bible says faith gives the forgiveness of sins Acts 10:43 !

It's why I roll my eyes at the sinners prayer. Cause actually no where int he bible does it say prayer forgives sin.. but it does say "Go in peace, your faith has made you whole"
