Both James and Paul do.
James 1
25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Galatians 6
2Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
I did not say one could be saved by works without the cross. Think about it.
Being rich in wealth but poor in spirit doesn't help much either

Lazarus and the Rich Man - Here a little, there a little - Commentary
We begin by scrutinizing the description Yeshua gives us of the rich man.
First, he tells us that this man was clothed in purple and fine linen. This type of clothing would not have been out of the ordinary for one of considerable wealth during this time period.
However, this attire also has symbolic meaning. The Eerdmans Bible Dictionary says: "The wearing of purple was associated particularly with royalty . . ." (p. 863, "Purple"). In addition, the New Bible Dictionary tells us: "The use of linen in OT times was prescribed for priests (Ex. 28:39). The coat, turban and girdle must be of fine linen." (p. 702, "Linen").
So we see that the garments worn by this rich man were symbolic of royalty and the priesthood.
With that in mind, let's see what God told Moses just before giving the Israelites the Law on Mount Sinai:
Tis a shame this high priest and his minions didn't hear Jesus loud and clear, which that parable is talking aboutI hera ya loud and clear my brother.
Tis a shame this high priest and his minions didn't hear Jesus loud and clear, which that parable is talking about
Matt 26:64 Jesus is saying to him "thou say, moreover I am saying to ye, from present/now ye shall be seeing the Son of the Man sitting out of rights of the power and coming upon the clouds of the heaven".
[Jeremiah 4:13/Luke 16:26/Reve 1:7/6:16]
Romans 2:23 Who in law are boasting through the transgression of the Law, the God thou are dishonoring
24 'For the name of the God because of ye, is being blasphemed in the nations' according as it has been written.
[Psalm 74:10]

Luke 16:26 and the great "chasm/gulf".

2Corinthians 3:13 And not according as Moses he placed a covering/kalumma <2571> upon face of himself toward the no to look intently the sons of Israel into the end of the being abolished
14 But was calloused the minds of them.
For until the today, the same covering/kalumma <2571> upon the reading of the Old Covenant/Testament is remaining, no being up-covered/ana-kaluptomenon <343> (5746).
That In Christ it is being-taken-away
Revelation 1:1 An un-covering-veiling/apo-kaluyiV <602> of Jesus Christ, which gives to him the God, to show to the bond-servants of Him which-things is binding to be becoming in swiftness
The Law of Christ is seen in His words and the way He lived, which magnified the Ten Commandments and brought honor to them because He lived them through love.
The Sabbath is not a feast. The passover is not of the 10 commandments.
Not really.Everyone of the Ten Commandments are taught in the new covenant. If you close your eyes to them you can teach the Law is done away with. But if you open your eyes and see them you will not only see them you will understand verses that say, "Shall we continue to sin because we're under grace? Certainly not!" "Shall we sin so that grace might abound? Certainly not!".
Not me.Just one commandment for me; "Love your neighbor as yourself". The 10 Commandments are just redundant and of no additional value.
John 14
15If ye love me, keep my commandments.
So if I am talking about Obama I am also including Bush. If I am speaking about Canada I am also talking about the USA. I mention part of the 10 so I am talking about that which I did not mention. That is a ridiculous conclusion and at the least dishonest to the word of God.He seems to mention those just by way of example, i.e., the same Law that says don't commit adultery also says don't murder. He seems to be emphasizing the point that one cannot pick and choose which parts of the Law to obey and which parts to ignore. This suggests to me that obeying the 10 while ignoring the other 613 doesn't cut the mustard, hence his statement, "whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it."
.
The one that should be exemplified in the keeping the 10 commandments.Does loving your neighbor lead you to do these things to them? What kind of Love is that?
Not really.
The 10 commandments are more lax than the N.T. in some ways and more rigorous than the N.T. in other ways.
I could obey "not bearing false witness against my neighbor", and still tell other kinds of lies.
I could obey, "not committing murder", and still hate.
If I were to obey the law of the Sabbath, I could do no work whatsoever on Saturday, (under penalty of death). I know no one who practices that one.
Note: About the Sabbath, it means you cannot travel to church. By driving you burn gas, by burning gas you expend money which you can only get by work. If you ride a bike it would certainly be work unless your church is down the block.
So when a Christan filled with Holy Spirit does not steal or lie he is legalistic? When one chooses to serve God only as the commandment requires, he is legalistic?Of course, those who champion the law of liberty tend to get zinged for not clinging to "the 10" commandments, and are suspected of living wild n' crazy-like. Interesting, that.
That falls in perfectly with "Love your neighbor as yourself".
So it would seem that the old method of commandment-keeping -- in the stoic, ritualistic, legalistic, martyr-like manner promoted by many within churchdom -- has been O.B.E.'d through Christ.
Thank God for Jesus!
