Well, if that alien life form can also live here...wouldn't there be similarities?

A static force. It does not consume any power. It's like the magnets on your fridge.

Doesn't force imply power/energy and isn't the moon being held together by some kind of force (gravity?)...so, there has to be light there...I would imagine? But,you believe that it doesn't emanate...maybe there's just too much dust...maybe we could mine the moon for light crystals...

Perhaps in a physical way - they might have some kind of limb, some sensory apparatus...

But why would they be based on identical genetics?

Gravity is a static force. It does not consume power. Light does.

The sun's [greater, incident] light hits the moon, and at that point it becomes the moon's [lesser, reflected] light.

Yeah, like photosynthesis...it's the plant's energy even though it may be said it is from the sun...so, it is the Moon's light in that sense...maybe...

*So,in a way, we are all reflecting the Sun's light.

Isn't the genetics the code for the limbs and sensory apparatus?

This guy is kind of a trippy hombre...cool though...

Ohhhhh...so it's re-emitted...so the Moon does emit light and, since it cannot be done without it...it is its own light even!

Does the Earth emanate its own light?

The earth does not naturally emit its own light. I'm obviously not counting artificial lights made by humans.

*Does the Sun?

Yes. The sun is made up of hydrogen that is undergoing a nuclear reaction which releases energy. This energy emission is sent out as photons - light - in many different wavelengths.

Technically, I would even say that the Sun re-emits light as well...think about it..."Booya Baby...you're starting to see...I can feel it!" Ha ha...

Yes. Think of it as like a programming language. You can have two very different programming languages that both produce a similar outcome. But you can't assume that the languages are similar just because the outcome is similar.

So the Sun is actually re-emitting light that the Moon re-re-emits that plants re-re-re-emit that we re-re-re-re-re-emit...

Earth doesn't emit visible light, but it does emit infrared radiation, thanks to the hot molten core.

Hang on, let's get something straight here.

The sun does not reflect light like the moon does. The light we see coming from the sun is created by changes that release energy that are taking place within the sun itself and consuming the material of the sun. The sun is not taking light that originated from somewhere else.
