Do all prayers to Saints get passed along?

Do all of the prayers to Saints get passed along to God? Or, do the Saints only pass along the prayers that they think are "valid?"

In other words, if you were to pray "St. Someone, please let me have a new Mercedes" would they always pass the prayer along to God?

Or are there times when the Saint simply ignores your prayer (because they think your prayer is not "valid") and does not want to bother God with them?

I, for one, would not. But then, I am not one to think any of my prayers are worth passing along by another saint.

Common confusion among some Protestants. The communion of saints is horizontal, so to speak, not a vertical game of telephone passing the prayer up the chain of command.

We are told to pray for one another. That can be rather difficult in many circumstances if we do not know what the need is, which is why it is common for us to ask others to pray for us. Sometimes in general terms but sometimes in very specific terms most of us do this. Some do it with complete strangers - online prayer circles, prayer boxes at Church.
