Hello Folks,

I would like to know your opinion about this problem below.

I've friends which is already divorced and willing to get marry again.
1. Before Married his wife was a Jehovah's witness, he want to marry her with one condition... if she willingly to enter Catholic. Because He want to receive sacrament.

2. She loves him until willingly enter Catholic. she got baptisted then married. BUT in the 2 years after marriage she said to him that She can't do it any longer and willing to back where she belongs (become a Jehovah's witness again).

3. He divorced her because he said to me that she broke their commitment being "in one religion". And he also said He can't build a happy family with one faith any longer as He already promised in the Church during sacrament.

4. Now, he falling in Love again with somebody else, This time they are both Catholic. and they are willingly to get Marry.

Please kindly advise, I don't have any answer for my friends and I don't know about Catholic deeply either. I want to help my friends. Here is my questions.

1. is it any possible their Married cancelled ? as I know Vatican will not issued any divorced letter.

2. is it any possible if He get marry again ? with or without sacrament ?

Any advise I do appreciate

Thanks in advance.

I "third" the talking to a priest about annulment.

BTW, for a Catholic, marriage IS a Sacrament (and a Catholic is obligated to be married IN the Church, meaning with a Catholic priest or deacon as an official witness representing the universal Church) so it's a little impossible for a Catholic to remarry without the Sacrament (that is if the Catholic wants a valid marriage).

Little... qualm about this "so it's a little impossible for a Catholic to remarry without the Sacrament (that is if the Catholic wants a valid marriage)." You can have a non-sacramental marriage... I mean you could get remarried without all of the hullabaloo, but you wouldn't be married in the eyes of the church. i am sure that's waht you were saying, but just wanted to double check.

And if you get remarried without an annulment, you'd be participating in the sin of adultery. (If I am wrong, please correct me someone.) Therefore, you should not remarry without the permission of the Church.
