  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Different kind of Messianic Judaism?

I have been continuing my studies of Messianic Judaism, slowly, I admit.
Anyway, I recently purchased a book called "Holy to YHVH" (only spelled out). I have only read a few chapters, but there is a lot of emphasis on the Hebrew word Yah. The author refers to Yeshua as YAHshua. Is there any significance to the different spellings? I've noticed that others may spell it Y'shua, or Yahashua. Does the spelling of choice, indicate other differing beliefs?

Thanks,
Mandy

I know I've made rather extensive comments about the Sacred Name groups, but I don't recall where these posts are off the top of my head...

you might want to search my user profile for some of those posts.

Sorry, I'm jus at work right now and not a lot of free time at the moment.

hahaha... I'm being bad.

I really shouldn't be making these big ole posts, but I'm kinda being a 'bad employee' because I felt it was important to ansewr those posts.

To be honest, it would take me some time to locate the original 'sacred name' post I created as I really have no clue where its at, and anyone else could do it... I'm not the only one with the ability to 'search' this forum

Slightly off-topic but....

Are Danceing Matzah Boy cults closely related with sacred name groups? I shoud think so.

Well, he seems to be walking, not dancing. And he's also the "mascot" for chabad.org's Passover page. So, if you're willing to call them a cult...
