Gabs I understand that it's not possible for us to live exactly as they did in the bible days. You also have to keep in mind that my understanding is limited only to what I know and learn as I go along. The Torah I'm referring to is those 5 books. I don't know anything about Judaism. I'm not promoting Judaism. I was simply sharing the message I got from my studies for the day. I was also trying to get the point across that I do the best I can to the best of my ability and knowledge to apply both testaments to my life and follow all the commands as best I can. Of course I realize I can't go around sacraficing animals and some of this other stuff. I'm not saying anyone has to do anything. I simply stated what I do. I don't know anything about dietary laws either. So bear with me while I learn ok?Red I am praying I do not get into a debate but I will ask this just the same....I know the Torah....the things Chirstian fight over with Jews who are believers is the dietary laws and they saw well if you keep some laws why not keep these too...so then I ask you...if you are stating that laws in the Torah are still applicable are you including the dietary laws as well?
I am not looking to open a hot bed here...I just want you to think about that...we all know that the ten commandments are applicable to our lives there is no question there...Jesus states He did not come to change the law ....and then tells us the two most important commandments and states all rest on these two.
So with this said.....I have explained I uphold all Jesus said and taught....my problem is with those who beat up on other Christians...who say they are Christians I am in a Pentecostal Born Again church and I find their teachings solid and true to the word..they tell everyone who enters ..all can come in and worship with us... but in order to be a Member of our church we must live in a way that adheres to the scriptures this to me is what I know in my heart to be true.
Please explain to me your statement...I appreciate it.
God Bless
