My testimone is not good, but I just wanted to contribute
When I was in the 7th grade, I stopped attending the church that my family was going to. We were Catholic. I stopped going to church when my aunt commited suicide.That same year I was raped by my uncle. I gave up on God and going to church.
I was depressed. I started cutting myself and making myself vomit after eating. I was put in the hospital after a suicide attempt. When I got out of the hospital, I was more confused about God. I wondered why any of this had happened..
When I got to high school, I got arrested on the 2nd week of school. I took a razor blade. I had every intention of commiting suicide. As I was sitting in the bathroom, I heard a voice say, "Spare yourself as you are loved by many. Think of what your aunt left begind. Is that what you want?" I was for sure that was God. I got caught with the razor blade and was charged with a felony. My aunt called and invited me to Youth group at her church. (A pentecostal church) When I got to her church, it was amazing. Even though it was youth group, I could feel the presence of the Lord. I attended a church service that Sunday. Three weeks later, I was baptized in Jesus name. I then recieved the gift of the Holy Ghost 2 weeks after eing baptized. I have not stopped going. Living for the Lord is the best descision that I ever made.
