Can a born again believer be possessed by the devil?

We know the disciples had the Spirit and did miracles but what about Judas? He was one of the twelve but we don't know for sure if he actually did miracles. We know that when Jesus said one of the twelve would betray Him, none of them knew which one would. If Judas didn't do miracles they might have suspected him but we don't find that. Either way, in John 13:27 it says Satan entered Judas.

Can a born again believer be possessed today?

What are you're thoughts?

IMO, only if they fall away. This is not to say that they are lost, but it could happen, and they could be set free then brought back to God.

It seems like real born again believers never get possessed, but I can't be certain.

This is a tricky question but if we look at how the Bible speaks of abiding in Christ, be filled with the Spirit, don't give place to the devil and so on. These speak of our free will to allow who we serve as our master. Whoever we open our hearts and minds to, that's who will possess our hearts and minds. Jesus made an interesting statement when He said He abides in us when His word or thoughts abide in us. Does this work the same way with Satan? Does Satan abide in us when his thoughts abide in us? We are called to have the mind of Christ and to take every thought captive to Christ. We are called to guard our heart. Why all this? Is God concerned that we might give ourselves over? This seems to take place either by choice or by accident. I think Stryder06 hit the nail on the head.
