I usually am averse to talking about myself in detail online but I figured if this place isn't the place to do it then there isn't anywhere on the web where I can. My name is Mitch and God saved me about 3 years ago after I left The Faith when I was 16. I was an Atheist for 7 years, sometimes militant and other times hateful but without a shadow of a doubt I was the epitome of arrogance. I had Severe PTSD from 13-25 from being around violent trauma and since being saved The Lord has had mercy & pity on me and has healed the debilitating anxiety through trusting in Him. I still exhibit behaviours from essentially being in fight for flight nearly every day for over a decade and thus can be rather OCD & meticulous regarding writing. For example this opening thread I've spent about an hour on . I love discussing The Bible, philosophical ideas & notions (that are always subservient to scripture), history, theology, Our Creator and how mind-blowingly awesome He is.

I try my best to love and follow God, though I do fail and stumble a lot. I'm very glad and grateful that He is persistent in His love. I am an SDA by upbringing but disagree with some doctrines of the tradition (Soul sleep being a major one), while at the same time I am exceedingly appreciative & supportive of other ones (Annihilationism/Conditional immortality).
