  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Nashville's Christian music scene, there's a laugher. They don't get anything hard unless the band's been around for years. I wonder if Nashville has ever heard of Stryper? j/k
They're out of Ohio, so if Nashville doesn't know them that's sad cuz Ohio cranks out some pretty good names.

Dead Poetic is awesome. They come highly recommend. Yes, they play the Christian music scene. Dead Poetic on Solid State Records, which is a company off Tooth & Nail records, who is the best record company in the Christian music scene.

Dead Poetic is screamo-like with awesome, awesome vocals, great lyrics, catchy music, usually pretty creative ..though sometimes more trendy than innovative.

You should definitely check them out. They have 2 cds neither sounds like the other, so I'd say listen to both of em. Go see them in concert if you get the chance becuz they're great in concert.

The red & black one is the "Four Wall Black Mail" their 1st cd w/ Tooth & Nail. The white with a bit of red & black is "New Medicines" which currently their newest one.

David Crowder Band is also a good, fun band so you should really enjoy those cds. Good picks.

Well I'm a new fan of theirs, all I can say is that they're wicked. I haven't had a chance to get their cds yet but I've been to their site, read some info of what they're about, and their lyrics. Their site is www.new-medicines.com Check it out if you don't have New Medicines, some lyrics and songs and one of their videos are there.
