Yes i believe it's okay to dance before the Lord.. But only for him, not to show off.
After all.. why not? David did it.. cept.. he was naked.. I don't suggest however you dance in your birthday suit in church.. heh.

Absoloutely.I'm hardcore pentecostal,or holiness or something ( I dunno anymore,I go where God moves ) but I totally believe that when you get into it with God and he leads you,you better follow.I've danced before God before.God's spirit is awsome, and if we don't get excited about it there's not much worth getting excited about.

I'll dance when I'm alone.
Trust me, you don't want to see me dance
Anyways, I don't really like it when people dance uncontrollably (like in church). I sense a certain "fakeness" to it. I feel that most of the time they do it for attention (but not always!) It's very distracting
This reminds me of Matthew 6.

I feel that if the dancing is done in a way that is worshipfull to the LORD our God then why not.

I mean how many people feel that the only way to worship God is to just sit in that pew and look like death warmed over. Come on people lets git some life back into Gods House. I feel that the ethnic churches have the most powerfull worshiping ways that I have ever seen in my life.

to quote one of our chior songs "...Get out of the boat and start walkin on the see, cause out of the boat is the safest place to be"

With love in Christ Jesus

Dancing,

I don't see why not. I don't see anything is Scripture that would prevent it. I guess it depends upon where you are at and where you are from. We can't hold it agains folks who grew up in the 30s 40s and 50s who don't want to do that in church. I can't say they are wrong for not doing it But they on the aother can't find any BIBLICAL fault with those who do. In my church we don't. If somebody did it would get shut down quickly, but not by me. I played guitar and filled in for a Friend's Charasmatic church and they dance alot. It was fun and refreshing for me to see people enjoying the Lord so much. I thought it was great.

I think that anything that comes from your heart- God adores. I have seen some people do it to get attenion- but usually that's not the case. I am always singing on Sunday, so I feel like God wants me to dance, to lead others to dance in the audience. The Lord is pouring out his spirit in a mighty way- I can't stand still and not praise my God extravagantly.

Think that you should do whatever Goed moves you too, if he tells you to jump up and down then you jump up and down, tells you to use some banners then you use one. Worship is about getting closer to God and praising him do what you think he will take in praise.
