I have a question(again).Are you allowed to dance in the church,during praise&worship?

You know ... I don't know the answer to that for sure ... I've never seen anyone do it so it's never come up ... it would sure seem like it should be alright, though because it's praise and worship ... it'll be interesting to see what answers there are to you question. good question!

I ask this because here,in Romania,,in most of the churches is forbbiden. My church is an exception,so that's why many churches don't agree with us.But I don't think that this is a sin,you should do what you feel that God is telling you.Sometimes, during praise and worship I feel God's presence so intese and I am so happy that I can't stay on my feetOf course that I don't have nothing agains those who just stay on their feet, but I think that it shouldn't be interdicted this, especially if there are many teenagers in the church.

I'm kind of one who feels like you. If the Spirit moves us to dance or to sit or to stand then who are we to ignore it. I also always remember King David who was criticized for dancing before the Lord. It's one of the things I love about David. He was honest about his feelings with the Lord. And he moved and worshipped the Lord in the Spirit as we're told to in the new testament. Afterall, it's not like the Lord doesn't know your true feeling is you want to dance before Him. I kind of think sometimes this is one of the reasons David was the apple of God's eye. He didn't run from the Lord and he was honest with the Lord. God bless!

ps ... of course, we must in our dance always be appropriate, wouldn't you say?

Uh, isn't this the Pentecostal forum???

OF COURSE it's ok to dance for God. Over and over again, Jesus described Heaven as a party. We don't have much jumping-up-and-down dancing in our church, but it has happened. We all move when the Spirit does!!

I dance at night, listening to my MP3 player. Shhhh!! No one knows but me and God.
