In the Lectionary for the Daily Office (1979 BCP for TEC USA), what does one do around Christmas?

What is the difference between Dec. 24th and Christmas Eve? If Christmas Day is a Sunday...what are the readings for the next day?

Sorry for something so simple, but maybe this thread will help someone else out sometime...

Thank you!

Yeah it gets a little confusing. Dec 24th is the designation for Matins where Christmas Eve is the designation for Evensong.

The days directly after Christmas (the Feast of St. Stephen [26th], St. John [27th], and Holy Innocents [28th]) are listed on page 996 under Holy Days.

I agree completely, but thought I'd chip in to explain some terminology. Matins is morning prayer, and evensong is evening prayer. Not everyone knows these designations for the daily office prayer services, so i thought I'd explain it for those who don't.
