Dear Eunice,
Here are some things to consider. First of all, think of what the Bible tell us, it is against His commandments to steal. Someone wrote that song and should get the small restitution for it called royalties. When you take a song without giving the writer his due you have 'stolen' his work and not given him any compensation for his hard work. I know it happens all the time but that doesn't, as you pointed out, make it right.
Second Eunice, as a young princess in the Kingdom of God you must act in a way greater than those who do not understand. Each time you do something unbecoming a follower of Jesus you can cause a brother or sister 'to stumble' and as we mature in our realtionship with Jesus we must try to be careful and try not to cause our brethern to stumble.
I never mind purchasing a CD or such because this keeps the ministry of the musician going. If no one is buying his/her music he/she has to quit playing and get a secular job that pays him/her. So in effect you can still the voice of a ministry by not supporting him/her.
