  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Old Dutch Caramel Corn

Directions:
Place contents of one 175 gram bag of Old Dutch "Popcorn Twists" into a large roaster pan. Next in a 2 litre sauce pan cook together for 2 min. the following caramel sauce ingredients:

1/2 lbs. Butter
1Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Corn Syrup

Add 1 tsp. Baking Soda to mixture. This will cause mixture to foam. Allow the foam to cook down slightly, then stop cooking the caramel sauce mixture. Pour caramel sauce over popcorn twists and stir until mixed. Place in 250 degree F oven for 45 min. Stir at least every 10-15 min. remove from oven and pour on wax paper. Allow to cool slightly and break apart. Enjoy!

I was in this garage and there were other people around, the garage door was open. I saw my son and his good friend (who is my best friend's son) on the stairs looking at me leaning against the stair rail. They had been playing. There was then like this big earthquake or some kind of shaking happening and big rocks started falling from the sky and even in the garage right next to my son and his friend and almost hit my son's friend in the head. I ran outside to look and there was this flying vehicle (it wasn't a helicopter or a plane) but it was flying and it had like 4-8 soldiers in it with guns pointed at us. They looked like American soldiers so I assumed they were one of us but something didn't feel right in my spirit within the dream like even though they looked like they were one of us, they were going to attack us. I ran back into the garage and told my son and his friend to go hide behind something that was in the garage.

I remember being asked to do a study on Revelation a few years ago. I wasn't really thrilled to be asked to do that, because eschatology isn't really my thing (believe it or not). But I accepted. And as we went through the book, the thing that really struck me was the mercy of God extended through it all - His hand ALways out, but many people's hearts always hard.......
