Perhaps the clearest and the most concrete passage in the New Testament that points out that the punishment system of the Mosaic Covenant is DEFINETILY, ABSOLUTELY NOT VALID after 33 AD is..


1 Cor 6:9-11 (KJV):


Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters
, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.



(In the Epistle of ShieldOFaith this passage would be twisted as follows: "And such were some of you: and ye shall be punished with death, ye shall be not be washed with the blood of Lord Jesus, ye can never be sanctified, Jesus never died on the cross for your sins, you wicked Corinthians (or San-Fransiscans), forget the whole thing, meet yer maker!")



Clearly, sinful lifestyle is condemned by Paul here, but the fact that some of the members of the Church of Corinth used to be practioners of these abominations and that Paul's intentions are anything but punishing them with death, should end the quoting of "punishment passages" from Leviticus here. The death of Jesus Christ on the cross for the sins of the whole world had this tremendous effect.

If we are to be a follower of Jesus then we should follow his example; Jesus forgave people all the time. The people he called snakes were the religious leaders who were forcing a heavy burden of legalism and following the laws on everyone else. Yes Jesus did follow the law but he also did not condemn people who made a mistake.

God LOVES us enough to DIE for us so we do not have to pay the price of sin. We have a just and loving God. He requires a death payment for any sin and yet he chose to pay that himself.
The old saying hate the sin and love the sinner is so true but we (myself included) tend to throw the baby out with the bath water.
We are called to be salt and light to a sick and dark world. That means we have to be in the middle of the sick and twisted and immoral helping and showing that there is hope and help and love and peace. We are called to be ambassadors of God just like Jesus. He spent his time with the people most of us would never be around.

I have to say from what I understand of the new CSA I just do not see Jesus in it. I see "Christians" putting up walls to keep all the sinners out. That is how I see what you are saying. If I am wrong please explain how the CSA would show Jesus to sinners?

"ShieldOFaith" has been online after I wrote my post #837, but seemingly did not bother to reply to my clear Bible citation about Apostle Paul welcoming ex-gays, ex-idolatrers, ex-fornicators, ex-prostitues, ex-drunkards, ex-slanderers, ex-swindlers etc. all as full members of the living Body of Christ. All (at least almost) of these "ex-sinners" in the Chrurch of Corinth were people whom "ShieldOFaith", this dark, anti-Christian, blood-vomiting messenger of the Grim Reaper would mercilessly execute.

Well, perhaps he just didn't have the time to respond just yet, he must be busy praying on his knees for the love of Christ to reach all of the sinners of the world, just like the Lord himself did.... No?? Kill' EM ALL!!
