My thoughts are that the oversight committee is filled with partisan hit-men and women.
They wanted to impeach Biden. No evidence, of course. This will be the same.
They're trying to figure out why we had more COVID deaths than most other countries. Easy. Mr. Trump ignored the medical community in favor of quack ideas.

Did you even attempt to try to take the time to read the transcript of the interview with Fauci?

I looked at it. I also saw the footage of MTG acting in a way unbecoming to her office.
I don't know how the Democratic members of that committee can stand trying to take this malevolent nonsense seriously.

Fauci's lies, misinformation, and disinformation before Congress and also multiple times to the American people ought NOT go unpunished. Americans are waking up to the lies, and disinformation and misinformation told by Fauci.

COVID was an unknown. Every nation was using trial and error.
But educated doctors and scientists are bringing their knowledge and experience to the trial...
While Mr. Trump, with a business heavily dependent on tourism, kept mocking restrictions, putting full hotels over the health of Americans. There's your culprit, House committee.

And yet Trump is also a racist for wanting travel restrictions very early on in Covid. Democrats resoundingly said he was being racist for wanting to limit travel from China when that could have made some difference. So which is it? Both?

I've been trying to figure out this "gain of function" accusation...

I mean, we debate with creationists over in the creation and life science forum all the time that claim evolution is false specifically because "gain of function" isn't possible. I guess that belief is contingent on whether the person being accused of "lying" and "misinformation" is doing so for the (R)ight president and party.

The moment you folks decide to punish the guy telling Americans to inject disinfectant, horse paste and other unproven things to stop Covid, we will consider listening to what you have to say. Otherwise, the comment about Fauci is nothing but a bunch of malarkey.

People were going outside with masks on, driving alone in cars with masks on, wearing masks with their noses uncovered, wearing bandanas that couldn't strain out a bacterium. The commonest masks were a joke. Mask wearing, unless you had an N95 and wore it correctly, were merely an exercise in virtue signaling. As to distancing it was also pretty much of a joke. Churches had to be closed because of contagion transmission but big box stores were just fine. Mobs of protesters were fine too but going to grandma's funeral or even a priest providing her Last Rites was too risky to allow.

I have yet to get Covid. I was considered 'essential personnel' with documentation so I worked through the closures and went to all sorts of places. I finally rebelled against mask wearing as I couldn't breathe sufficiently with a mask on. I did use what I learned from previous infectious control work, which doesn't exactly boil down to 'social distancing'. Social distancing was basically social alienation where granny basically got to die alone.

No, they called Trump racist for only preventing Chinese from traveling to the US from China. There were no restrictions on US Citizens traveling from China (or any other location), though they may be requested to self-quarantine for a couple of weeks. There were limited restrictions on non-US Citizens traveling to the US from China, though that was largely that they couldn't be coming to visit the US and had to be traveling "through" the US (even if they had a day or two between flights where they would be in the US). If Trump had done it correctly it would have prevented anyone that wasn't a resident of the US from traveling to the US, and those US residents returning would be required to quarantine.

It was the fact that Trump's order didn't shut down travel from China but merely stopped Chinese from coming to the US that caused people to claim it was racist.

No, it starts with "So's," which despite the contraction is completely different from "So," since it is part of a name.

He was trying to get people, not just Americans, home. That would have included Chinese too going back to China. If he was a racist he would have interned them.
