The Holy See has not issued any approval of the alleged locutions of, or the writings of, Fr. Stefan Gobbi.

I haven't kept up with all the stuff he's put out either, but if half of what is listed on the site below is what he actually wrote, I think he can safely be dismissed.

I have Gobbis book. I studied Marian apparitions and more and more consider them contrary to scripture and GOds will. The true Mary, was a humble servant of the Lord and would have asked only for dedication to JESUS not to any Immaculate heart.

 The book which contains all these locutions carries the Imprimateur from Bernardino Cardinal Echeverria Ruiz.

And these locutions ARE consistent with the messages of Fatima. Who's central theme also was 'Salvation of the world through consecration to the Immaculate Heart'. And again at Fatima, the apparition never called itself "Mary", but only by titles that we might associate with Mary.

Now I believe that this spirit needs to be re-examined by the church. For if this is NOT Mary, then there are millions of our brethren (including priests and bishops!) who are offering themselves to be posessed by something else.

Should the 'Immaculate Heat' appear again and hail some man as 'her Son' returned to us, how many, having given it their hearts, would follow?

If this is an imposter, it has planted the most dangerous heresy in the history of the church! For it seeks to steal the very hearts and souls of our brethren.

Already through Fr. Gobi's movement, it has it's own liturgy (the cenacle) where it's followers gather to consecrate themselves to it, to allow themselves to be possessed and guided by it, and to meditate on the messages it gave to Fr. Gobi. (what I call the IH bible)

There are bishops, priests and laity the world over that have given themselves to it. If it is NOT Mary, will not our Lord be provoked to jealous Wrath? Rather than lessening and delaying 'the purification', could this not be the very thing that is bringing it to pass?

to which, I most certainly agree!

This is the fruit of the spirit that calls itself 'The Immaculate Heart', deception and loss! Beware!

Philip havent Marian apparitions really been prevelant since the 1800s? Even St. Catherine in France saw Mary who gave her the Miraculous Medal and again asked for this same dedication to Her Immaculate Heart. I have to be honest, one reason I exited Catholic church was not only doctrines and Interfaith business but these concerning Marian things. I saw it as contesting scripture. This is why I no longer held trust in a Magesterium that forwarded these things. And its true, the Mary of Fatima does ask for dedication to her Immaculate Heart also. its a prevailing theme....

I have posted Orthodox articles protesting these things on RR. Trad Catholics tend to believe in these apparitions though they dont agree with the interfaith activities. Christ is to the focus and to test these apparitions by scripture they simply fail. In that one video passed around on RR, Messages from Heaven, Phillip it actually directly compares words of Mary to those in the Bible. I see this spirit as misleading people. Christ is to be the Center. The true humble servant of the Lord the real Mary would not be crying for dedication to her heart or as in the case of the Mary at AKita or the one in the Netherlands---Our Lady of All Nations Would NOT be advancing the interfaith agenda either.

I have Catholic friends who I have witnessed to about these things and I am glad they are cognizant of them. I am glad my old priest seems to be one of the exceptions and even is against Mary being named Co Redemptrix.

I hope I don't offend anyone here with my comments, ok...

I LOVE my mother Mary, she is wonderful, she loves me as if I were her own and she is extra special to me and to all of us Christians.

BUT............

I am not comfortable with the Concecration to the Immaculate Heart stuff, Blue Army, Regnum Christi, or those organizations that tend to focus totally on Mary.

I like to think I am concecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and that's what Mary would want me to be a part of - because its about her son, our savior.

Just my opinion.

I am glad my old priest seems to be one of the exceptions and even is against Mary being named Co Redemptrix.

I have found that to be the majority opinion among Catholics. I understand the Dogma and what it says, and I agree with it, when it is properly understood. But... I think that it would do a lot of harm to pronounce something like that. It is a very misleading term considering how our language has changed.

Co-Redemptrix has not been proclaimed as an Article of Faith. Therefore the faithful are not required to believe it. And, I agree with KC's post.....

Did not Hosea speak of these times when he said: "But let no one protest; with you is my grievence oh priests.

You shall stumble in the day, and the prophets shall stumble with you at night; I will destroy your Mother.

My people perish for want of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from my priesthood; Since you have ignored the law of your God, I will also ignore your sons.

(Hosea 4: 4-6)

For many who rightly reject this spirit, unfortunately also begin to doubt and reject those Truths it uses to disguise itself. They abandon the Eucharist and their brethren, rejecting one heresy only to embrace another. Imperiling their souls.

 So then, this spirit hurts the church in two ways, taking possesion of the hearts, minds and souls of some; and driving others away from the Table of the Lord...truly a diabolical and genius scheme.

Budge, I urge you to humble your heart, and return to the Table of the Lord, to full communion with your brethren. For they have need of you, and you of they. If you do, you will recive healing and peace, and the Lord will make full use of your talents.

For many who rightly reject this spirit, unfortunately also begin to doubt and reject those Truths it uses to disguise itself. Philip we see the involvement of this spirit in different ways. I believe this spirit is behind forwarding other false practices such as the ecumenical movement in Catholic church---Look up Our Lady of All Nations. I do not believe I am in heresy but have returned to the Word of God and the important fundamentals of the faith. The Word of God to me is not equal to church tradition. At least in my church, I will never have to worry about being told I must believe that "the seeds of the Word are in other religions" or other universalistic ideals. Jesus Christ is to be the center.

Philip I am STILL AT the Table of the Lord. I believe some Catholics will be there with me at the feast in heaven. They will be pleasantly surprised by the Rapture I am a Christian first and foremost and leaving the Catholic church does not mean I left the Table of the Lord, though I know your beliefs affect this outlook. The main reasons I left were over doctrinal disputes and the interfaith activities. This was merely one more thing that added to it. Its been a year and Ive been very happy in my new church. I have had much Christian growth and challenge there. There is good fellowship and life in the Word.

You may not know this but I and a born again--nondenom Christian friend still reach out to our old Catholic friends. I still talk with them and I have TOLD them about this Mary spirit using even copied articles off line--not all fundamentalist sources either but others. Two of my Catholic friends have told me they are concerned and they believe the way you do. I have talked about how this spirit contends with scripture. I am still praying for them. Thanks for your compliments regarding my talents but Philip I no longer hold Catholic doctrines. I do not believe in the Eucharist and about 70% of Catholic doctrines nor the papacy, it would have been hypocritical for me to stay in. Leaving my friends behind was hard, and I live in a small enough town where I still see many of them and have contact still with the close friends but this is something I had to do. I do truly believe the Bible asks you to "come out of her" Philip I am less worried about you and expect to see you in heaven because I know you love Jesus and you do hold him at the center. You have discernment about this spirit. I will pray you keep speaking out and bring knowledge to others!

I praise you for your bravery in speaking out against it Philip!

Budge, there is a difference between maintaining a real devotion, veneration, and love of the Mother of God while rejecting a false, illicit, or inflated devotion to her (which is what Philip is talking about), and complete rejection of all Catholic doctrines concerning the veneration of Mary, which is what you're talking about.

You are, again, free to hold whatever belief you like, but you might want to keep in mind that you're in the Catholic forum now, and some of your comments are not going to fly well here. Some prime examples:
