Of course there is likely to be a lot more cases and deaths, BUT in GA we have had no more deaths since 7PM last night ( they give updates on cases/deaths and noon and 7PM each day including weekends and while the cases have increased no one else has died since 7 last night ( after several reports of an increase in deaths).

so far there are 25 in GA. 700 something cases, but and not that it is not serious by any means but what people do not seem to realize is the RECOVERY rate is likely higher than the death rate. This is because the people who die are more likely to have been tested, whereas, the people with milder cases ( 80%) recover without knowing they even had it thus are NOT counted in the recovery numbers. Again, I am not by ANY means saying this is not serious, but that people need to consider the other side of the fact not every one is getting tested.

Rough day 32 dead and over 200 cases since last night. The 32 is up from 25 so not 32 dead in a single day. Not that those people do not matter but just to be clear

Number of tests available has gone down, possibly?
I was wondering if it had to be with being Sunday labs are not as active. I did notice that yesterday ( according to the nationwide numbers both cases and deaths were down on Saturday the cases were 19,452 and yesterday it was 18,882 for the deaths Saturday was 525, but yesterday was 264 so literally about half that.

I completely agree. I just found out this morning that my coworker’s wife tested positive last week and he was quarantined last Monday. He hasn’t been tested, nobody informed me about this and I find out a week later that the guy I’ve been riding around with in my work truck is most likely infected himself, but I can’t take off work and quarantine myself because I don’t qualify for testing because I don’t have any symptoms, or at least not yet. So I won’t be granted any grace period on my bills unless I test positive so if I refuse to go to work and can’t get tested then I put my family into financial nightmare possibly even facing eviction because I can’t get tested. So this creates a huge dilemma for those of us who are uncertain of being infected. I’m very angry at both my employer and my coworker for not informing me of this situation when they first heard about it. I was on vacation last week so I had no way of knowing. If a person who’s wife is infected can’t even get tested then there is most likely tens of thousands if not more who probably have it and are unable to find out.

I understand your anger, but you also have to look at the other side of that. If I have it and do not get tested I may or may not be spreading it ( as many people who can be are home any now, but I also recover with no test. That means I am still recovered, but not in the numbers because you cannot be in the confirmed recoveries if you were not in the confirmed cases. It is more likely for a death to be reported because if they suspect that the virus caused or played a role in the death they can test for it ( even if the deceased was not tested before).

Unless the body doesn't get tested as was the case with the body that I handled. The detective on scene couldn't understand why the body wasn't going to get tested.

I went out on quarantine, but my partner who is new to the medical field is still working. I want to say it's a lack of experience, but I know that he wants to keep earning a paycheck and that was what is likely on his mind.

I won't put my earning a paycheck ahead of the safety of my patients or co-workers.

but it is still more likely for a body to get tested than it is for someone who is recovered to be able to get a test stating as much ( if he or she did not get a positive test to begin with.

Well, yeah.

I am just shocked that the body wasn't tested. She had all the signs and symptoms of Covid-19 before she died. She was healthy (other than her weight) up until she fell ill a couple weeks before. She should have been tested for it, if not for records, than for piece of mind for those that had come into contact with her.

I understand that they just don’t have the means to test everyone but I think that people who know that they have a high chance of being infected like myself should be able to qualify for government aide or some sort of grace period on their bills so we can quarantine ourselves and not potentially infect others. I mean I’m wearing my mask when I’m close to others and I wash my hands but staying home is the best course of action in my situation. The problem is I can’t afford to allow my family to be evicted because I think I could possibly have it. On one hand I don’t want to infect others but on the other hand I don’t know if I have it and I am unable to find out for sure.

I am pretty sure that Trump held off on evictions until at least the end of next month. I cannot remember for sure though because since my mom owns this property free and clear, so even if he held off on evictions or even house payments neither apply to us( unless he planned on waiving county property taxes due in December.

I believe that is only for HUD and Section 8 homes.

I know that if you call your loan company for your car, they will generally waive a payment or two, but it just gets tacked onto the back of the loan.
