50 moves ahead. I forgot the exact calculation, but there are more possibilities by then than particles in the universe. So it would be impossible.

There is no way that a computer can store all the information in memory based upon chess.

The idea of a computer learning is good, however it has been attempted. From what I've seen it works sometimes, but other times not. There was an attempt made with a very smart spam filter that learned patterns of spam. It was reprogrammed to play chess. The results were sometimes good and sometimes lousy. I've been pondering a way for a computer to learn information, but my problem is storing the amount of information. I'd have to study up on my programming algorythms more to learn more about that.
