You guys can come up w/ any outdoor activity after church or on any day during the week that works for most people. It could be a soccer game or whatever. Make sure that you incorporate the spiritual aspect into everything that you do. For example here at my place, we start our activities w/ an opening prayer and a spiritual thought. The idea of spiritual thought is that every week one person from your group will be assigned to prepare a quote from the scriptures that stuck out to him/her. You get the point. Just a suggestion.

Definately food. College kids are half-starved!

I always thought video scavenger hunts (you can incorporate spiritual stuff into that) were fun--but if you don't have enough video cameras, that won't work well.

Sports are good for those who are athletically inclined, but some people aren't, so it would be good to offer an alternative or make sure you don't get stuck in a rut of only having sports related stuff.

We used to like to get together a group of people and play different games like outburst, taboo, balderdash, etc. We would have groups of different games going all at once so that if someone got tired of playing one game, we could switch out.

I think it's also good to have some 'everyone together' time and other times when you have girls only groups and boys only groups. Sometimes people feel more inclined to share personal prayer requests, etc. when they aren't in mixed company.

Another idea came to my mind. Like Cincy Warrior has said, try small Bible study groups. You can commit a certain day during the week to this, get together in a group of 5 or 6. Don't let the size run away cuz then you run into the problem of sunday school. Try sticking to a specific topic everytime but it could be not that important, depending on people's mood at the time. Relate the scriptures in discussion to your everyday life. Believe me college life could be improved w/ careful learning of the Scriptures. This group is supposed to be for friends that always hang out together. And again, always open and close w/ prayers. Good luck!
