Take a break with me and have some coffee, post something funny or chat about your day. Have milk and cookies instead of caffeine in the evening though unless of course you're on your way to work.

Here's the first cup

I'll have Earl Grey tea Happy Saturday to you all!

Hey, what is happening across the big pond?

It's turning spring here in the southern US. Grass is already green right along with the weeds. Wheat looks good. So do my taters, onions and garlic.

Just a different flavor of a brit.

Um, not so. Australians can have ancestry from anywhere in the world, just like Americans. Having lived in both countries, I can vouch for the fact that we're quite different from the British. But I love it over here.

What brought you to merry ole England or there bouts.
As to that, I'm not yet quite sure myself! But it's good to be able to see more of the world. Australia is a wonderful country, but it's so far away from just about everywhere else... Anyway, I'm just having another cup of tea after breakfast. Hope it's a lovely day where you are too.

That's interesting. I think of Assies talking like brits. Maybe to much TV. I love the accent. I've lived in several regions of the US and pick up various speech patterns.

It's always good, well at least interesting to see other cultures. I was stationed in Germany for most of my military career. I miss the architecture and the food. Religious culture was interesting too.

Brits don't think of Aussies as talking like Brits, I can assure you!

Anyway, good morning to you all in America and I hope it's as lovely and sunny a day for you as it is over this side of "the pond"

Well for people on this side of the pond we think of you speaking the same way. Of course we've nothing to compare with. A person I met who was working with American military people in England said how glad he was to be where the speak the same language. They then said it wasn't the same language and they drive on the wrong side of the road.
