If you knew of a church in your area that was hosting a Halo party would you go? Would you take your non-christian friends? Our church is looking to start something along these lines and I wanted to get an idea of what everyone though. Being a Halo lover I think it is a great idea, but I'm a little biased.

Let me know your thoughs,
Jigsaw HC

I would love to go. Actually, I would go to ANY lan party at a church. I think that would be a great thing to do. And yes, I would bring non christian friends aswell.

Crimson Skies is another great lan game.

EDIT: And splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (I think that has system link).

Hmm... I don't know... I went to a church that had party where anyone could play Halo, and that's the first (and only) time I've played it. It seems wrong to me to have a church promoting a game that determines its winners by who can ost people. Going back the the "What would Jesus do?" question, I personally have a hard time picturing Jesus playing Halo.

Then again, I notice I'm the only one with a female symbol on my profile....

Still, this could be a great way to reach out the non christains, and christians alike.

But... What lan games don't have you attacking each other?

I was thinking about that and all of the really good games have fighting of some sort in them. I don't plan on hosting anything especially gory, but if non-christians are playing halo and Christians are playing halo (or any other game) we might as well play together.
