Christians!!!

Good message! Keep preaching it! Few are and this is the time!

"Prayer out of schools." Sorry to burst your bubble, but would you like Islamic prayers in Detroit, where half of the students are Muslim? Prayer was never "kicked out of schools," only prayer that is led by school authorities is prohibited (as it should be, since school authorities may not reflect the beliefs you would want reflected), and/or prayer that is conducted in a highly disruptive manner (such as someone shouting prayers in the middle of a class). Private prayer, individually or in groups, is not and has never been prohibited. Anyone who tells you that it is, is ignorant of the law.

And the way we can best help a lost and dying world is one person, one soul, at a time. We can show caring and love toward people. In fact, I think much more good is done by having a civil discussion with a nonbeliever rather than railing at them for disagreeing with our morals or by forming political action committees. After all, what won you to Jesus? For most people, being screamed at and protested against only drives them farther away from Him.

And while I agree with you that that "Married in America" show is absolutely disgusting (it reminds me of the plot for. . .nah, I won't go there)
I must say that we as Christians often do little better.

Our teachings on "courtship/betrothal/whatever you want to call it this week," Pat and Gordon Robertson proclaiming parent-arranged marriages to be blessed of God on the "700 Club," and the barrage of syrupy testimony books that convey that the only thing to good relationships is praying and heeding the writer's formula are not-so-wonderful examples.

But we always need to stand up for Jesus. Educate yourself on who you vote for. Stand for what is right in the eyes of God. As far as getting people into the Kingdom, the example of Jesus was always one of a servant.

What are some ways the Christian can take a stand for Jesus in today's society that will impact the direction of the nation?

I agree with your post for the most part and am glad to see you feel this way.  I also wish we all had more desire to correct the evils in this world.  Including our own front door steps.

The best way to change the world around us is to be completely obediant to God in as much as is possible for us.

It is the YOUTH LIKE YOU that have the power and opportunity to put God back in His rightful place as HEAD of a Christian Nation!

Do not be discouraged by those, young or old, that take a stand against you and call you illiterate and misinformed. You keep preaching the Word!

Ephesians 6:13: "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

Notice the last Word in this verse: STAND!

I didn't "take a stand against him," nor did I call him "illiterate and misinformed."

I only wanted to state that while the point of his message is good, some of the examples were weak.
