hey anybody know of any good Christian rock bands out there? I'd like to fill my iPhone with this kind of music. So post any good songs/ bands that would fit in this category I'd greatly appreciate it. Have fun!

How heavy do you like your Rock and Roll?

I'm listening to; August Burns Red, Hope For The Dying, War of Ages, For Today, Gideon, and some others but they are pretty darn heavy. May not be your cup of tea.

Here are Christian rock bands I listen to that you might like:

Heavier rock bands that focus on or include Christian songs (some songs might be considered screamo):
Skillet
Flyleaf
Red
Pillar

Rock based on secular / relatable messages, but also includes Christian songs / themes:
Switchfoot
Lifehouse
The Fray
Mat Kearney
Good Charlotte - Not technically Christian, but some of their songs (such as "The River" and "We Believe") have Christian themes.

Rock that mainly focuses on worship or Christian messages:
Newsboys
The Afters
The Museum
Audio Adrenaline
Big Daddy Weave
Lincoln Brewster
Building 429
Casting Crowns
Kutless
Plumb
The City Harmonic
Downhere
David Crowder Band
Echoing Angels
Jars of Clay
Third Day
Kutless
MercyMe
Needtobreathe
Pocket Full of Rocks
Rush of Fools
Tenth Avenue North
Unspoken

Hi -
Hopefully your having a Good Day. I realize its been a bit since anyone has Commented on here. However - I'd like to add 3 Bands that are a few years in & still working getting their names out.

- 70x Forgiven

- As We Are

- We Are Vessel

I took the time to add links on each Band to their Facebook Pages, as Facebooks usually end up getting updated faster than websites.

Earlier today, All 3 (& many others) played at the Christian Cross Music Festival, in Nebraska.
~Enjoy!!!

Muse is actually a Christian band I think, though it is not their only subject matter per-say, but if you listen to songs like New Born, I believe it is supposed to be Born Again; but they do a really good job of hiding it sort of. Mart Bellamy even said that the person he'd most like to meet living or dead is Jesus Christ. A lot of their skngs are about fears, avoiding worst case possible future scenarios, out of control technological progression, things like that.

Baby Metal is a Christian band, but again they don't seem like it by conventional standards, they are dark gothic. A lot of Christians like stuff like that now, but are kind of non-denominational I guess.

I've dark gothic things, I am not a bad person. Self expression is complicated and abstract, subjective.

White Stripes might be a Christian band a bit as well, he has covers like "John the revelator"

Nine lashes is a band I like.

Chevelle is openly Christian *shrugs*

I don't think there music suggesting or condoning anything bad, I think it is a misconception. It is rock music lol. A lot of it is philoshopcal, socio-politcal and has mutiple interpertations. I know it is not exactly "pious" enough. It is all very complex, I would not say all their songs are about their faith, but perhaps have a song or two et cetra. They are sung by people who have faith in some higher power.

I don't know if Greenday is actually Christian but...

Oh sorry, I forgot the Christian part again. I dunno, I have different views on what pertains to notions of purity and such. I think in some instances, indegenious cultures are the most pure. The other perspective, Anglo-protestant, that is very much British ideas of civility and colonialism. I think melting pots are the best as well IMHO.

WITH A STRONG IRON CHRISTAN HAND TO RULE THEM ALL.
