Anyone ever heard of a group called k11's ? Or something like that. My brother has this one song from them called, "After the Rain," and it's really helped me get through some rough times. I've tried looking them up, but to no avail - and my brother has no clue how he has the song (from a sample CD he thinks).

A few sample lines:
You think you hit the end of the road
Too much stress, you feel like you're gonna explode
Rains blowin hard makes you wanna fall down
But still serve God all year 'round
I thank God for the rain from that which I learn,
When I'm headed towards it I don't make a U-turn

Anyone know 'em?

Okay im in shocked loll. I was searching on soundclick for some unknown christian rapper and found a dude who sounded like Tupac. I was like " Is it Tupac or what ? LOL. He has the SAME voice

yeah i still haven't picked up that christcentric but i know i need too..

i had prodigal son's cd for a minute noe..that was one of the 1st christian rap cd that i played for my unsaved friends and they LOVED it..his beats are sick, the songs deal with real issues/topics and the gospel message is so transparent...lavoisier is my BOY!!! he ministered at an outreach event that my youth ministry does in the summer (in brooklyn, ny) called SPIT LIFE 2005..he is awesome and is going to be at JAZ (from A.D.F) album release party on friday sept 23rd in harlem...lavoisier is really great and I love his ministry...

i haven't gotten this one either, but as soon as i get some money i'm picking up this and that new da truth cd

Hi, I am new here and I have a question for you. First let me start by saying that I agree that most of the Christian rap I have heard sounds a bit cheesy to me too, as stated by another user.

I have been writing to a young man who is about to be sent to prison. He made a terrible mistake and now he has to spend the next 3 years of his life paying for it. I have been sending him Christian materials in a way as to not come on too strong... ie. I sent him the "Cross and the Switchblade" and "Run, Baby Run" Very good reading by-the-way if you or someone you know has gotten caught up in th gang/drug scene.

Anyway, I know he likes rap music, it is he first choice. He would like some music, and I will not provide him with 2PAC. Is there anyone out there who has put out some non-cheesy Christian Rap music?? Or at least some music that does not have negative/angry/sexual lyrics? I would really like this boy (18) to have a good message going through his mind.

I'm very new to the Christian rap scene - I just bought some CD's today, can't wait for them to get in the mail. But yeah, which Prodigal Son album do you recommend? There's 3 of 'em: crossing the red sea part 1 and 2, and welcome 2 holy-wood.

I only like rap and contemporary gospel.
Rock music sounds really bad to me.
too much screaming and yelling.
My favorite rap artists are grits,irocc,t-bone,flame,and another one but i forgot the name.

It isnt the right artist, it's another prodigal son cuz I never heard of those album

For sure, but yeah some christian rap are cheesy, well the most known I foung it very cheesy but that's my taste

Man, I just got the Genocide CD from yuinion yesterday, and I was pretty disappointed. Maybe I wasn't feeling it, or wasn't in the mood for rap last night, but I liked maybe only 5 tracks out of the 24 there. I really hope christcentric, cross movement, and lampmode turn out better..

lol mayne...now I don't mean to flame yall but I cant understand how christian rap is better than secular..just cause its cleaner and no cussin? mayne straight up, rap aint as deep without speakin ya mind and usin some strong words sometimes..most of yall prolly hate rappers like eminem n fitty cent, right? but i'll bet if overnight they switched over to christian rap yall would be first in line to buy their album..dat just doesnt make sense...

on the real i can't even dialogue with an 18 year old about secular hiphop (no point of reference)
