YES !!!c-- said:I like to listen to progressive rock, especially Emerson, Lake & Palmer. My favorite album is Brain Salad Surgery. I'd like to listen to Christian music, but all of the Christian prog rock I've heard isn't anything like ELP. Are there any Christian prog rock bands that sound like Emerson, Lake & Palmer?
Try Rick Wakemans solo material .c-- said:Unfortunately, that's not like ELP at all... it sounds like Transatlantic. (I wonder why) I don't like the majority of rock, or even progressive rock... I like 70's symphonic progressive rock, i.e. Yes, ELP, etc.
Try Spocks Beared especially "V" and "Snow"c-- said:Unfortunately, that's not like ELP at all... it sounds like Transatlantic. (I wonder why) I don't like the majority of rock, or even progressive rock... I like 70's symphonic progressive rock, i.e. Yes, ELP, etc.
They're certainly not progressive in the symphonic ELP/Genesis/Yes sense, but I can definitely see parallels betwen the MV and Red-era King Crimson-- dark, heavy, beautiful at times, with lots of improvised noise bits and some nice arrangements.theFijian said:I don't know much about prog-rock but I've heard the Mars Volta being labeled as prog, any thoughts?
