DH and I are going to wait a few years to adopt but we really want to be able to give children a good home. We both LOVE children and I have a very difficult time with pregnancy, so I'd like to skip the whole being-pregnant part and just have another child to love.

What about you, Emma?

Thanks for your reply, God bless you for looking after the children

I have always wanted to adopt beacause there are so many children out there that have no-one to love them and look after them. I want to even more now because my husband and i went on missions to africa and were there for a month and saw first hand the need for adults to stand up and look after and love the children. God put one little girl esp in my heart... i am trying to figgure out how we can adopt her. Looks like the easiest way is to actully to move there... I just wish it wasnt so hard to adopt...

As for me, I've always wanted to adopt a child. We have one 2 year old biological son now and I'd LOVE to have a whole houseful. I'm not real keen on being pregnant, although it wasn't real bad. I have just always wanted to give God's children a good home with loving parents. In college my best friend and I were talking about opening up a foster home together just so we could help more kids and give them our love. Now that I"m married, we are looking into adoption more seriously over the the past 3 years.
thanks for sharing your stories.

My daughter planted the thought, and I am not trusting my interest in adoption.
I think I might be fearful of the empty nest. (Oldest is a year away from driving, and has an older boyfriend)

I am praying on it. I don't want to adopt for the wrong reasons.

I know an aquaintence at church, that has adopted 5, and foster 3 others.
I believe there is a limit to the amount of love, you can share with so many kids. Even more restricted when there is a special needs child.

God spoke clearly to me one day as I was doing my bible study (Experiencing God, which I think was signifigant) and told me that He wanted my husband and I to adopt a sibling group. I asked Him to let my hubby know this also, rather than just me telling him. He did so and so we moved forward, allowing God to direct it every step of the way.

I just wish it wasnt so hard to adopt...

Children who need adopting have already been "abandoned" once in some way or another. It is good that they make attempts not to place them in jus "any" home.

Endeavor to perservere-A child needs a home LIKE YOURS!
